Real Hummus

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2007
Tasty hummus! I boiled the chickpeas after soaking them overnight, and added a dash of paprika powder on top. Yum with whole wheat pita!

Mendocino Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2005
Really delicious! I used a rotisserie chicken and substituted scalions for red onions. I served it piled on home-made bread for dinner. Husband and teenage son couldn't stop praising. Very easy to make and leftovers are wonderful on a bagel the next day. Try it!

Soba with Toasted Sesame Seed Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2003
Delicious!! My teen just made me promise I will make this once every week. I stir-fried snow-peas, julienned carrots and sliced mushrooms in 1 tsp oil and added to the soba. And served it topped with grilled prawns on skewers! Exotic combination.

Very good guacamole. But my son did not like it so hot. Next time I'll skip the peppers. We loved it with chicken tacos.

Summer Corn Salad

Delicious Salad. I broiled the corn cobs(leaves on) for an hour instead of boiling and then sliced the kernels off. Yummy salad. Thanks Eileen.

Christmas Cherry Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2002
The cake came out very elegant and was delicious.I used 3/4 cup oil instead of butter. The texture and taste is very close to fruit cake. The only difficulty was to prevent ourselves from eating before the cake was mature. I plan to make one more today. Thanks for a great recipe.

The cake came out light, fluffy, crumbly and delicious. I followed the recipe except for using 2 eggs instead of one and baking in a tube pan. My husband says it is the perfect cake.

Biscotti

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2001
Very very good! My first biscotti attempt and it is better than any I have ever tasted. I can't keep my hands off them. I used vanilla extract and greased my hands before shaping the dough. Worked very well. Try the recipe! you won't regret it.

Absolutely Perfect Palak Paneer

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2001
The dish came out delicious. I served it as a side dish with fish curry and rice. Everyone loved it. I used 2 bunches of fresh, washed, chopped spinach that needed to be cooked an extra 10 mins. The palak is actually supposed to be pureed in the original dish but I guess one can leave it chopped. Delicious even when pureed! Thanks for a great recipe.

I did not like the dressing and it did not taste anything like the one that is served in Japanese Restaurants. Too much oniony.

Pineapple Sheet Cake I

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2001
I have made this cake twice now and both times it came out superb. It is easy to make and does become moist and more delicious the next day. I had to raise oven temp. to 375 degrees and bake for 45 minutes to get the delicious looking golden look as I did not want the icing. My husband just couldn't stop praising.
