Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2010
Not only was this super easy, it was delicious! I have never been able to cook pork and not have it turn out dry, but this was amazing. After reading other reviews, I did take the advice of adding a can of cream of mushroom and I think that did help. I would also suggest adding coarse ground pepper to the flour befor dredging as well as when mixing in the sour cream. I will definitely make this again!

Pineapple Cobbler

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2010
I thought this was very tasty. I did make a couple adjustments though. I cut the butter amount in half, and I used thawed, frozen dark red cherries. I thought this helped cut down on some of the sweetness. I also used a 20 oz can of pineapple. If you don't have self-rising flour, just use regular flour with 1 1/4 tsp baking powder and 1/8 tsp salt. I will definitely make this again.

This pasta salad is delicious and easy to make. It is so much better than the pasta salads from the deli! I did add 2 extra pieces of bacon....

So easy and so good! I followed the recipe as written, with the exception of adding an extra stalk of celery. This is definitely a keeper!

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
This was very tasty and it got rave reviews. Someone else was unsure of how fine to crush the pretzels, and I would recommend crushing them pretty fine. Otherwise, you get big pieces of crunchy pretzel. I would also recommend using frozen sliced strawberries.

Creamy Turkey and Biscuits

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
I thought this was really tasty. My husband thought it was very good as well. I used a 1/2 cup of green pepper and a 1/2 cup of onion. I also used 3-4 cups of leftover Thanksgiving turkey. I was suprised that there was no spices in this, so I added a dash of poultry seasoning, pepper, and salt. I will definitely make this again!

Slow Cooker Chicken Pot Pie Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2011
I thought this was really good, but I used a can of chicken broth instead of the boullion, and I did not use the baby carrots and celery. I would suggest cutting the potatoes into smaller pieces so you don't have these giant chunks. If interested, this recipe is 7 points for 1 cup if you are on WW. I also found this delicious with saltine crackers crumbled in instead of a biscuit. It does make a ton, so if you make the recipe as written, you definitely need at least a 5-qt slow cooker. I was able to freeze half of it.

Fish Tacos

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2011
This was very good, especially the white sauce! I think next time I will try to grill the fish to make it healthier, but the sauce was perfection! I loved it with the cabbage as well. I just used small flour tortillas and had soft tacos instead!

Banana Chip Muffins I

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2011
These are really good! I doubled the milk and chocolate chips, and added 1 tsp of vanilla. I think next time I may substitute applesauce for the oil just to lower the calories. FYI WW: 6 point plus for each muffin as is.

Donut Muffins

These are pretty good. I cooked mine for 15 minutes, but they were a little overdone...will play with the time. I do find the nutmeg a little overpowering...

Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

I was not crazy about this, and neither was my husband. It didn't taste bad, but I found it to be very sour. I don't think I will use this again....

Chocolate Bourbon Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2011
I followed the suggestion of someone else and just spread the chocolate chips in the bottom of the crust. I found the chocolate to be too overwhelming and I couldn't taste the rest of the pie. I will definitely make it again, but I think I will leave out the chocolate....

Triple-Cheese Macaroni

This is the BEST mac and cheese I have ever made! I only put in one tbsp of mustard because I was out, and I added some leftover spiral ham from Christmas dinner, but other than that followed the recipe. It was so delicious! Highly recommend!

Autumn Muffins

These are really yummy. I use cranberries, appled and dates, and I only put in a few walnuts. I actually filled the muffin tins and still ended up with 24 muffins! Next time I am going to take another reviewer's suggestion and use applesauce instead of butter....highly recommend!

This a great starter recipe. I boiled the chicken, shredded it and then mixed it with some sauteed onion and garlic. I then mixed in 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup of the sauce to the chicken before I assembled. I will definitely make this again!
