Sweet and Spicy Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2012
I liked the idea but not the taste. I omitted the cayenne pepper so it wouldn't be too spicy for my kids and the end result was still too spicy. :( I think sweet and salty (rather than spicy) would be good. I will probably try around with my own spices next time but thanks for the idea! :)

Mom's Dill Potato Salad

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
I think this is my new FAVE potato salad...YUM! I did follow the other reviewers advice (increased sour cream to 1 cup and decreased dill to 1 1/2 TB). I also added a little celery and garlic salt. My sour cream and mayo used were both light, turned out delish!

Easy Arugula Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
Loved it! Such a big fan of Arugula. I broiled a skirt steak and had it with this but my husband and I both agreed that it would have been wonderful sliced thinly over salad. The dressing on this salad is delicious! Thanks for sharing.

Beefaroni

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2011
Not sure who liked this more, the kids or hubby! ;) I did add some fresh minced garlic to meat when cooking it along with some other spices. I noticed it got a little dry in the oven too. Next time I will just throw the cheese in the pan and let it be done stove top. Great quick meal that everyone seemed to love. Thanks for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2011
Simply AMAZING. Only thing I did different was add some fresh mushrooms to the soup/cream cheese during the last 30 mins. Served it with egg noodles.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2011
Made a few changes...used WW flour and Ghiradelli milk choc chips (our fave). Next time I will use 1 C of chips though, didn't seem to be enough. Followed first reviewer and added 1 cup pumpkin, replaced white sugar with brown sugar and increased spices. I also added 1/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice. They turned out delish! ...keeper

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
YUMMY comfort food. I doubled the sauce as other reviewers suggested and I had about a cup too much that was wasted.- I was using a 9" deep pie pan. Next time I will just follow the recipe. I used a frozen veggie mix of peas, carrots, corn & green beans. I also left out the celery and substituted diced potatoes...it was great and the whole family enjoyed it.

Goat Cheese Stuffed Lamb Burgers

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2010
HOLY DELICIOUS! Goat cheese is my favorite cheese and I LOVE lamb....the combination of this is unreal. The only change I made was the salt (hope that is a typo) and they were perfect. My husband kept giving me a 'thumbs up' across the table because his mouth was too full to talk. ;) 5 year old & 1 yr old loved it too. Thank you for this keeper.

Vegan Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2010
We're not vegan by any means, not even vegetarian. But I am always looking for healthier alternatives to sweets for my junk food loving husband & son. I made these into cupcakes and used half WW flour. Other than that didn't change a thing. Came out delicious! A keeper for our family. Thank you!!!

Slow-Cooked White Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
I made this just as recipe stated although I added 3 garlic cloves because we love garlic. We always top our chili with low fat shredded cheddar, low fat sour cream, and sliced avocado. SO GOOD! My 5 year old ate his entire bowl of it. I definitely think without the toppings it would be kinda boring.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
This was DELICIOUS!!! I used sesame oil instead of olive for more of an asian flare and threw in diced green onion. It didn't caramelize and I had to take it out because the chicken was cooked. And maybe it didn't because of the different oil but I am so glad it didn't because we were able to smother our rice with it. The sauce was drinkable. Seriously!

Quinoa Tabbouleh

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
I really wanted to like this. It looks so good & Quinoa is so good for you. But neither me nor my husband liked it. I only make things with high reviews so maybe it was something I did wrong because a lot of people seem to like it. Unfortunately we didn't and we will not be making it again.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2010
I love simple & delicious. This surely was both. I followed reviewers & instead of foil, peeled 3 sweet potatoes and laid the chicken on top of them. I stuffed the chicken w/4 garlic cloves and threw some paprika & freshly ground garlic sea salt on it. I then poured some white cooking wine over the top of the chicken. I cooked on high for 1 hour and turned it to low but it was done 5 hours later, for a total of 6. The chicken was falling off the bone. The sweet potatoes were so tender. I served the chicken on top of the smashed potatoes & threw some of the broth over it all. Topped it with a little more garlic salt...we loved it!

Mushroom and Swiss Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
WOW! This was super yummy. My cajun was a little too spicy so I probably won't use as much next time. Might even try a different seasoning. But overall, super easy & super yummy!
