Focaccia Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
Easy and quick! I also added some pepper flakes and parsley to the dough. This is so tender and soft---not hard and crusty like you might think. I love this recipe! Yummmm!

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2010
Very tasty! This is nice asian inspired dish. I added a tablespoon or so of orange marmalade to the sauce as well as some orange juice to the mix. You could really add some more heat and you would have General Tso's.

Costas French Market Doughnuts (Beignets)

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
This is a nice basic recipe and its better to work with if you leave it overnight. This made a massive amount of dough--I would half it next time. I rolled out the dough and made heart shapes with a cookie cutter. I will add a dash of nutmeg to the dough next time but added it to cinnamon sugar roll mix and also used powdered as well for 2 different effects. These fried up extremely fast and cannot imagine 3 minutes let alone 5. Seems like they cooked in seconds.

Wonton Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
Good recipe--Had no wrappers and too cold go get some so I made homemade ones--took some time but the end result was fantastic. I never liked the slippery/rippy wrappers. I didnt have green onions so I used chives-worked good--also added a spoon of orange marmelade to give it an interesting kick. I didnt have any rice wine either. I made this today because it looked so good and I had most of the ingredients without going to the store. Really hit the spot! I used pork sausage that I had as well. I kept the broth basic-would have liked to add mushrooms next time. I also added some sesame oil to the filling mix.

Easy Baked Ham

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
I like this--I added some clove and boiled the mix before adding it to the ham. I also added cornstarch to make it thicker before baking.

Cinnamon Rolls II

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
Good recipe--I used one cup milk and one cup buttermilk to replace the 1 cup water because I had some in the fridge. Turned out super. I also made the glaze without the cheese and it was also good. The dough was easy to handle also.
