Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

I made this pie last night my family loved it. I did change a few things. I used only 6 granny smith apples instead of 8. I also added about a teaspoon more flower than the recipe called for because I was afraid it would be watery as some people in other reviews had stated. I also sprinkled cinnamon on top of the apples, and on the crust I added a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar. I turned out so delicious I did not even had a chance to to a pic before it was pretty much all gone. The pie did not come out watery at all. I will definately make this again.

Slow Cooker Carnitas

We make this recipe at least once a month and it is a family favorite. The only thing I change is I do double the spices expect I keep the cinnamon the same. It tastes really authentic. So yummy!

Broccoli Beef I

This recipe is so good my entire family loved it. I read reviews and was concerned because some people mentioned that it was a little bland. I did double the ginger. I used fresh ginger, and fresh garlic. I added the garlic and ginger while cooking the meat so it could retain the flavor. I also added a small amount of pepper to the meat for flavoring. It was so yummy and flavorful.

Honey Glazed Ham

We made this recipe for christmas dinner. The ham came out really juicy and flavorful. Honestly it was the best ham I have ever made. I used a fully cooked ham so I didn't have to worry about it getting under cooked. It took a long time to cook because of the basting every 15 minutes but it was well worth it.

Garlic-Herb Roast Pork

We just made this recipe tonight. My entire family liked it even my kids which are picky eaters. The only complaint I have is that the pepper is overwhelming and makes it somewhat spicy. I will definitely make it again but next time I will add about half of the pepper.

Lime Cilantro Rice

This recipe was pretty good it was not that flavorful though it had just a hint of lime. We doubled the lime to give it a zesty kick and that improved the taste.

Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Slow Cooker Lasagna

I made this recipe tonight and my family really liked it. I cannot say that there is a big difference between the oven lasagna I make and the one in the slow cooker because it was very similar. As far as convenience I feel that if you want to prep the recipe in the morning and not have to worry about it then it will be worth the effort, otherwise you can just use the traditional oven method since the result will be similar. Some changes I made to the recipe were I used ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese. I also added two eggs to the cheese mixture. I also substituted the sauce with traditional marina sauce and seasoned the meat with salt, pepper, oregano, minced garlic and onion. Finally I added mozzarella cheese to the top of the lasagna the last 30 minutes in the slow cooker. Totally cook time was 5 hours on low. Make sure you break the noodles to fit in the slow cooker and you double the noodles each layer and they are covered entirely so they will cook well.
