Apple Cinnamon White Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2014
Delicious loaf. My husband is gluten free so I used all purpose gluten free flower (XO Baking Co.) in place of the regular flower and it came out fantastic. Since a few people mentioned that the cake was dry, I added a couple of tablespoons of plain yogurt to the mix. I also mixed a teaspoon of cloves to the cinnamon mix and used three small apples instead of one. It came out moist with lots of flavor!! This recipe is a keeper, and my husband who is the pickiest eater loved it!

Key Lime Pie VII

Easy to make other than the limes take a while to squeeze. If you microwave the limes (for no more than a few seconds!) they are much easier to squeeze. Tastes delicious!

Poppy Seed Bread II

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2012
Delicious recipe! I didnt have butter extract so I left that out. I didnt have lemon extract but I used the juice of 1.5 lemons and the peel of one lemon. I doubled the poppy seeds. Family loved it!

Old Fashioned Prune Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
Super surprised as to how tasty this cake is. Probably one of the best cakes I have ever made. My family and friends LOVED it and it did not last long at all!! I followed the recipe exactly but added walnuts instead of pecans (its all I had at home). The glaze is good but not at all necessary as the cake is sweet and incredible as is. I will make this cake ALL the time now!! Oh... I did double the spices I added and I would recommend that!

Authentic Thai Coconut Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2010
I added 4 cups of water instead of two, one of those cups being chicken broth not water. Otherwise, its too heavy, and the coconut taste is too strong. I also added two finely chopped green peppers and 1 cup of finely chopped mushrooms. Tasted pretty good.

Grandma's Crispy Pork Wontons

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2010
Time consuming but very tasty, great for parties. I didnt find them bland, although I did add a couple extra cloves of garlic and a little more black pepper. I also added a tablespoon of rice vinegar. Makes about 45 to 50 wantons.

the first cheesecake I have ever made and it turned out great!! I put a pan filled with hot water on a lower shelf and i let the cake cool in the oven with the door open.... I had no cracks! I also used about 2.5 cups of oreo cookies which I crushed...looked super pretty once I put the glaze on top!!
