Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Fantastic! I served this at a family event. Used 2 2.5lb pork tenderloins and 2 bottles of root beer, then simmered for an hour or so in Bone Sucking Sauce on the stove. I was absolutely certain that I'd have leftovers for work. There were 10 of us and I didn't have anything left over. It was a hit and everyone was shocked when I said that I had cooked it in root beer.

Slow Cooker Pot Roast

This was terrific! Tried it for the first time this weekend. Through it together before I headed out for a day of shopping with friends. We were visiting potters in Seagrove, NC, about 1-1/2 hours from home. I called my husband when we were headed back just to let him know when I could be expected and he told me, "by the way, I invited so-and-so and so-and-so over for dinner." It was absolutely perfect! I was also concerned with the conglomeration of flavors and wondered whether or not it would be too salty. The gravy was thick and flavorful and I think it helped a lot that I also added potatoes mid-way through the cooking. I did not salt the roast prior to dredging it. Very tasty! I'll definitely do this again!

Best Bread Machine Bread

Great base recipe. Tweaked it just a little. 1-1/2 cups each of King Arthur whole wheat white flour and white flour. Added an extra 1/2 tsp of salt. Use my bread machine to prepare the dough. After the end of the cycle, put the dough into a greased loaf pan, cover it and leave it to rise for about 30 mins. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake for 25 mins until the top is nicely browned. I can't keep it in the house. My husband cuts into it before it's even partially cooled and will polish off 1/2 loaf in an hour. This is such an easy recipe, I have no problem baking several batches a week. So much better than store-bought.
