I have been thinking about what I can have tomorrow after I have had my
colonoscopy tomorrow morning at 7am.
here is what I have read: Post-Colonoscopy Diet
Generally, once a patient is discharged from the hospital and begins to recover from anesthetic, he can resume a regular diet. Due to the anesthetic, he might want to resume his regular diet slowly, beginning with liquids until soft foods such as puddings
or yogurt can be tolerated. The effects of the anesthesia may cause nausea, which will keep the patient from returning to his regular diet. Drink clear liquids until the nausea subsides. Listen to your body and resume eating with a liquid, soft or "invalid"
- End -
I had Colonoscopy 5.5 years ago, but I can't remember if I really had any problems with eating anything. I am starving right now, and all I can think of is eating a large steak with mushrooms and onions, gravy with mashed potatoes. I don't think I want
to eat soup because I have been on a light diet for the past two days.
I heard rice was ok, and have also been thinking about making some fried rice without any meat or vegetables.
