The Death Of A Squirrel

I feel so bad, And I have been crying because when I was coming home from Lowes, A squirrel was crossing the road, and then seen me coming, and there was another car also coming the other way. The squirrel was trapped. I hit my brakes to give him a bit more time but it was too late.

Now all I can think about is the poor squirrel, his wife, brothers and sisters, and friends.

Don't that sound weird for a guy who has been in 3 wars, and killed enemies of the USA.

Not weird at all, just means you have heart. (that's a good thing)Merry Christmas to you and yours.

No, it does not sound weird. It sounds like compassion. An innocent in an unfortunate circumstance. I would feel bad too ...

Yep. You have a heart and compassion. So you feel sad about something that happened that you didn't mean to happen. That gives me a great deal of faith in my fellow man. I thank you for that.

I feel just like you! Years ago I accidentally ran over a possum who was walking behind my truck. I felt terrible about it for a long time. Even now, I don't like to dwell on it. It is so sad when their small wild lives intersect with ours in such a way. Rejoice in your compassion for innocent beings.

I killed a cat many moons ago when I was in high school. It was horrible. Took me forever to get over that! Its nice you care so much about our furry friends!
