Today I was cleaning out the refrigerator and found some almost fermenting Ginger. So I was thinking maybe I could make some Ginger Ale. I had Soda water, No lemons but I did have some frozen Lemonade.

I ground up the Ginger, and put it into a small pot, with a Spoon full of lemonade, and boiled the ginger for some time, and then added some sugar, and then removed the lid and boiled it down into a syrup. I then cooled the syrup down.

Once it was chilled down I added some to a glass, and added some soda water.

Warning: It's not like eating a Habanero pepper, but Ginger in a concentrated form like this does get a bit warm.

Later I looked for a recipe And found a few

Here is a video like the way I made my Ginger Ale

What a great idea, I doubt I ever would have thought to do this. I keep a knob of ginger in the freezer and just chop off whatever I need, so it doesn't spoil here.
