the other day sue and I had a no meat day

I made Broccoli, Cauliflower And Saffron Rice

Very easy 20 mins in and out of the kitchen.

Saffron is not cheep by the way (Saffron 1 Ounce (28 grams) $105.99)

I took the Saffron off my own Crocus flowers that I grow for the beauty, and the Saffron so it was cheaper that way.

Hey King, How hard is it to grow and cultivate the Crocus in the south.. I'm in South Carolina, not to far from Fayetteville! I love saffron, but can only afford it in the mahatma rice... lol! By the way what a gorgeous meal!

I have not had a problem with growing Crocus. I did plant them on one part of my yard once, and then returned that place back to my yard, and they still came up for about 5 years after mowing them down. they are very pretty.

The best time to plant crocus is early in autumn. so it may be a bit late, but you actually can grow them indoors I have read (I have never tried), and they bloom in the spring. at that point you can pick out the stigmas and dry them for your recipes. It may sound complex but it is not, and is way cheaper.
