Pots And Pans

I have never had a good non-stick frying pan, I mean I have paid about $100 for frying pans but they all seem to have problems. Calphalon I had high hopes for, but it warped, I sent it back and they sent me another one that did the same thing after the first use.

All the cheep pans seem to be too thin on the bottom and they tend to warp, then food does not stay where you put it and slides off to the sides, and the pan does not set flat on the stove.

Today when i was cleaning my 3 month old Paula Deen pan a one inch piece of the non stick surface fell off. I did not have much hope for this pan anyway, just more junk.

I am thinking about getting an all-clad but not sure I want to invest that much money in what might be another failure.

Anyone have good luck on any non-stick fry pans?

I would prefer something with a thick bottom.

I have had good luck with Cooks Essentials from QVC. Mine have stood up along the way, no peeling or warping. You can research it on the QVC website. I especially like my saucepot with the strainer lid and my med. sized saute pan that I cook eggs in.

Coincidentally, my email just showed up from QVC, they are featuring cookware and related items all day tomorrow. Tune in if you are so inclined.

Sam's Club has non-stick pans that are great. Very heavy so they don't warp. And they won't cost you that much. I have one of each size and have been using them for about a year and a half with no problems. Only thing is do not put them in the dishwasher. Ever. Any way here is a link to them. Its Bakers & Chefs Brand. Looks like you can also get them at Amazon.com but they are more expensive.

I am a cast iron girl myself, but I do like to have a non stick on occasion. I buy a 3 variety pack at Costco for around 30 bucks. Did I mention I am a Cheap O? Mine have not warped and the non stick seems to last a long while as long as you don't use metal on them of course. Good luck and I know it is frustrating to try and find a way to cook and not spend a fortune.

After many years I have finally , near the end of my cooking days, I have found the ideal frying pans. They are called Swiss Diamond and all of their cooking ware is the greatest. I fully expect they will be around to leave in my will. They are expensive but well worth it. I have been using their Breakfast pan for several years now and it still looks like it just came out of the box. I have since added two more fry pans and some pots to my collection. I wish I could have found this brand many years ago, as no matter the initial expense I would have saved a bunch. My children and grand children are already fighting over who will get them. Check them out on the internet or at Cookingenthusiast. com. Right now they are selling their breakfast pan at a reduced $79.95 a real steal.

I bought a T-fal 12 inch frying pan at Kohl's about 6 months ago. It looks as good today as the day I bought it. Not pricey at all. QVC Cook's Essentials are also good pots and pans. Tomorrow is an all day cooking event on QVC starting at midnight (ET) tonight!!

I won't give up my good old cast iron. They are heavy, but they cook great, and nothing sticks...except maybe scrambled eggs...but a few minutes of hot water, or a scrubby always gets em clean. The biggest perk for me, is they don't give off poisonous fumes when I forget and overheat them! :)

I have one Calphalon and so far its been great for me, other than that I use my 23 year old pan from a set from Macys that I got for a wedding present, lol...I never put any of these pans in the dishwasher, always hand wash.

King Sparta, As a fellow military retiree, I would not snow you on the Swiss Diamond cookware. I tried their loss leader breakfast pan a few years ago as a test and was so amazed at how it performed, that I have bought more pieces as I could afford them. All have disappointed me in any way. As a professional I have never seen anything to beat their products.

i love my cast iron skillet too! it is heavy, no doubt... but it cooks nicely and the one thing that I really like about it is that it can go from stovetop to oven and vice versa!

Oops, I have learnt that if I heat the pan up good before I put any food in it, nothing really sticks to it. Just this past weekend, we managed to make scrambled eggs in it without the eggs sticking! That took even me by surprise!
