Raspberry-Glazed Rosemary Chicken

A disappointment for sure. The flavor was just not there-I have a turkey recipe similar to this that I live but this misses the mark. I agree it has a 'pinesol' taste to it. There wasn't much I could do to salvage it. Obviously the jelly makes the chicken purple. It was just not appetizing eating a purple chicken breast. The only saving grace was that the chicken was moist.

Sesame Green Beans

After having sesame green beans in a sushi restaurant, I wanted to try and make this at home because my husband is a big fan of fresh green beans. I was not disappointed. I added a splash of sesame oil and just a small bit of garlic. I didn't want the garlic to overpower the sesame taste. This could easily be served during the week or for a holiday meal.

Champagne Punch III

I've made this punch several times now and it is always a hit. Each time there is at least one person that asks for the recipe. At my last party I had someone fill up a water bottle with the punch so they could take it home for their husband to try-it's that good!!

Coconut Tilapia with Apricot Dipping Sauce

This turned out great! I baked it in the oven at 425 for 13 minutes and it came out crispy and perfect. The sauce wasn't what I had hoped for so I think it's just a matter of finding a sauce that compliments this dish better and I would give it a 5.

Butternut Squash Casserole

This dish has changed my feeling about squash! Finally at Thanksgiving we can all agree on one sqaush dish. This turned out so sweet and the texture was perfect. Kids and grown ups gobbled this right up!

Garlic Prime Rib

If ever a recipe deserved five stars this is it. This is easy, elegant and most importantly delicious! I throw in several cloves of garlic and scatter them around the base of the roast. After the roast is done cooking, not only does the garlic aroma linger in the meat but now I have roasted garlic for bread. I do double of the marinade and lather it up good. The end result is a perfect crust and moist meat. The leftovers make incredible sandwiches. This is a favorite of everyone in my family!

Lemon Square Bars

This is exactly what I was looking for!!! The crust was a little too thick for my liking so the second time I made it much thinner and it was even better! I used a star stencil and dusted the tops with powdered sugar. I also added lemon zest to the crust for a extra bite of tang. These were a hit with the family as well as the kids at my sons school! A great idea for a bake sale!!!

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

While I am not a fan of Split pea soup, I know other people are so I made this for a teacher luncheon at my son's school. It was really easy to prepare and even I thought it smelled good. The reviews from the teachers were A+!!! Several have since asked me for the recipe!!!

Slow Cooker Stuffing

This is by far one of the easiest recipes I have ever made! It is far superior in taste then any other stuffing recipes. I lilke to add green apples, cranberries and walnuts to mine as well.

Prime Rib

Absolutely amazing!!!! I was a little scared of making this because #1 I had never attempted prime rib before and #2 I was making it for a packed house. I was thrilled with the results!! It came out juicy and tender and made incredible sandwiches the next day!! My family has been begging me to make this again.

Caramel Apple Pie II

Heavenly!!!!!! I substituted caramel syrup for the caramel pieces and it turned out delicious. I am SO not a baker but you wouldn't know it by tasting my pie!

Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms II

I don't normally like mushrooms, but when a friend insisted that I make stuffed mushrooms for her baby shower I gladly obliged. These mushrooms turned out spectacular and I am pleased to announce that even I like them! I added sauteed diced onions and garlic. Delish!!!

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad

I have never attempted to make a full-blown homemade salad, so I was a little hesitant about making the dressing myself. I was amazed that I did it and it tasted delicious!! I left out paprika only because I forgot to put it in but it turned out great nonetheless. I added julienned carrots just for a little more color.

Baked Ziti I

This was unbelievable!! I couldn't imagine that something that was so easy could taste this good. I made it for a baby shower and had to increase the serving size to 20 servings. I baked it for an hour under foil to accommodate the amount of pasta I was making. It turned out good and I will scale it down next time to make for my family.

Amy's Garlic Egg Chicken

Honestly I thought this was going to be a very 'shake and bake'ish' type of chicken but I was very pleasantly surprised!! The breading was nice and crispy and the chicken was juicy. I only added 3/4 cup bread crumbs and 3/4 parmesan. Also after I coated the chicken the first time I went back and redredged the chicken in the egg mix then into the bread crumbs again. I choarsly chopped my garlic for a bigger garlic flavor. I found that after 40 minutes my chicken wasn't fully cooked yet. This recipe was so easy and the end results were delicious! Thank you Amy!!

Easy Fruit Dip

I am truly not a fruit dip fan but I wanted to come up with some new ideas to add pizazz to my sons lunchbox. I halved the recipe thinking he would probably just nibble on it and not really make a dent in the concotion. Can I be the first day say I pretty much consumed the whole batch myself and sent my son off to school with a little container of it. This stuff was SO delicious. I had mine with strawberries and my son had his with apples. I had to add a lot more of the cherry syrup because I wanted the pinkish color and a slight cherry flavor. This was a hit with my family! Especially with me for its easy prep and delicious results! Thank you so much Natalie!!

Cheeseburger and Fries Casserole

Very quick and easy dish. I served it with ketchup for the kids. Next time I will add extra cheese soup, it just wasn't cheesy enough for my tastes. Also I will cook it longer next time, my fries came out soggy but tasty nonetheless. This is a good recipe to whip together after a hectic day.

Best Beef Dip Ever

I was excited to try this recipe because of all the positive comments. It smelled really good as it was cooking but then when I dished it up it was downhill from there. The meat turned out really dry, I thought I could salvage dinner by using the juices in the crockpot as a dip but there was a thick layer of grease floating in it. It was like dipping my sandwich in oil. We ate it but it was not at all what I was expecting.
