I have enjoyed cooking my entire life. I gre up watching Julia Child, she influenced me a great deal. I have a huge collection of cookbooks. I read recipes and cookbooks as if they were novels. I love cookbooks with the history of the recipes included. I also enjoy watching all of the food channels on tv. I spend a portion of my day looking for a new recipe to cook for each night's dinner and I try something new at least 3 times a week. Everyone calls me for recipe ideas. The hubby is diabetic so that throws a challenge into the mix. I enjoy talking food and recipes with everyone.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are what I'm cooking at that moment. I like to read the reviews other cooks leave about the recipe and I take that into consideration when preparing it. As far as cuisine goes I think I prefer Italian. But I also lean a lot towards Mediterranean, and, vegetarian. even though I am a diehard carnivore I like the difference in making meatless meals.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our family cooking traditions are Jewish.
My cooking triumphs
One year I prepared a 10 course Passover dinner using all Israeli recipes I researched and got off the internet and it was a huge success. Today, I still use some of those recipes.
