Frogmore Stew

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
This is a great, easy dish. My whole family enjoys it. I often use frozen shrimp, and adjust seasoning based on who is eating. We like it with cornbread.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2012
Yummy - my kids enjoyed it, my husband liked it. And it is not hard to make. It has a tasty texture. I sometimes leave out the mustard (my daughter and I don't like mustard). I also bake them on a broiler pan instead of a baking dish. Often I double the recipe (for 5 of us) because I want the left overs - the mini loaves reheat well. Besides that, I followed the directions exactly.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2011
This was a big hit with my whole family (children included). It is easy and quick to put together, and tasty to eat. The first time I made it I worked later than expected and it cooked longer than suggested. Yet it still did not dry out. This is a nice dinner to come home to.

I made these with tomatillos fresh from the garden. It tasted great! I liked the crispy breading. Great recipe, I can't wait to try it again.

Pumpkin Fluff Dip

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
I made this for a Halloween party and it was a big hit. Several people asked for the recipe. I made it exactly as written, except I used lite whipped topping (it was all the store had). We used apples, pears, cinnamon graham crackers and gingersnaps for dipping. All were tasty with this dip. (I liked the cinnamon graham crakers the best)

Sausage Squash Skillet

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
This is so fast and so tasty that I have made it several times. Even my squash hating son eats this dish. It is good over rice. I usually triple the recipe to feed the whole family.

Spiced Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
This was tender and tasty. I was concerned about the ingredients, but had to try it because of all the five star ratings. It was one of the best roasts I have made. It is a sweet sauce, but works well with the meat. I may try it with a different chutney, or without, for variation. However, it is great as is. My son even left off the ketchup!

Baked Salmon II

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2011
This was very tasty. I used exact ingrediants/measurements. The only changes were that I had cut my Salmon into serving size pieces before marinating. I also covered the baking dish with foil instead of wrapping each piece. Even my kids enjoyed this one, and I will use it again.

Busy Night Turkey Taco Soup with Avocado Cream

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2010
This is an easy, quick, and tasty meal. Most of my family enjoyed it. Even my picky eaters ate most of theirs (after picking out the tomato chunks). I did use black beans instead of chili beans. Also, due to taste preferences I did not mix the avacado and sour cream, but provided both on the table. The tortilla chips tasted great mixed into the soup, and several family members also added cheese. I offered lime juice as well. This recipe would do well with other kinds of cooked meat and I will make it again.

Springtime Poke Cupcakes

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2010
A good, basic, and easy recipe. My children, 9 and 7, did all the work (minus the handling of boiling water and working with the oven). We used blue-berry Jell-O as that is all we had. The resulting cupcakes are moist and tasty.

This was a big hit at a potluck for work. Rice and sour cream were provided on the side. This was a favored dish, with many people coming back for seconds. Thank you for sharing the recipe!

Tofu Parmigiana

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
I made this recipie as I am trying to get my family to try some vegetarian dishes. We were all delighted with the results. My children even asked for me to make it again. I did bake my tofu first, as suggested in another review. Overall, this was a great introduction to tofu!

Salsa Sausage Quiche

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
This was so easy, and so tasty! I did use the whole pound of sausage, and therefore added an egg. This was simple and well-liked. I served it for dinner, and leftovers made a tasty breakfast.

Beer Sausage

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2010
This was a big hit with my family. I was worried because I don't like the taste of beer, but the flavor combination was great. My picky eaters did not eat one item (carrots for one, onions for the other), but that did not deter them from enjoying the rest of the dish. I doubled the recipe, and the only problem I had (due to doubling) was the cabbage took longer to cook.

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
My family enjoyed these. I followed a previous reviewer's advice and baked them instead of frying. It made the process easier, and they still tasted great. I would not say that they taste like crab cakes, but they were still good.

This has become a family favorite! It is simple to prepare, and tastes great. It is also a good side dish if the sausage is left out.

Greek Pasta with Tomatoes and White Beans

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
This tasted great! My family enjoys pasta, so I am always looking for new ways to serve it. The mix of flavors was just right. I did leave out the feta cheese, it was included on the table as an optional add in. Those of us who enjoy feta, and those who do not, both found the dish tasty.
