Jalapeno Popper Wontons

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
While my wontons did not come out as pretty as the picture, this was my first time deep frying and I was very impressed. These were delicious alone and even more delicious dipped in the sweet chili sauce. The daddy could not get enough of these gems!

Absolutely Amazing Ahi

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
I bought sushi grade ahi from my fancy local store for this meal. Another tip I used was to use low sodium soy sauce that many other reviewers suggested. Despite forgetting to purchase the cucumber this recipe was out of this world amazing! If my family hadn't seen me making it, they would never have believed that it was a home made creation. Exquisite!

Sizzling Sherry Shrimp with Garlic

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
This is extremely easy to make and I love the spicy kick of the dish. The oily sauce is great with warm crusty bread. I chose sherry instead of lemon.

Ground Beef Wellington

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
I liked this recipe. I'm more inclined to give it about a 3.5 (the boyfriend says it's a solid 4 and the best thing I've ever made.) This Beef Wellington was unbelievably easy to make. The onions were prominent, but I would have liked more of the mushroom flavor. I will definitely add more next time. I was somewhat disappointed that my sauce did not come out thin (it was very thick like cream of mushroom soup), so any suggestions on that please shoot them to me.

Magic Cookie Bars from EAGLE BRAND®

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
I've been eating these since I was a little girl and I always thought my mom created the recipe. Low and behold she did not. I love these with almonds because they taste like Almond Joy. I always use 1 cup of chocolate chips and the recipe still comes out just fine. One thing I do find is that if you use the called for 2 cup of chocolate chips put them on top of the graham cracker. When they melt and then re-cool they form a seal with the bottom and top layers. The only way I can ever get my bars to cool this way, however, is if I leave them out in the cold for an hour. They are so good it's hard to not cut into them before they are cool, but you need to. Also, for another variation mix all ingredients together. The bars still come out divine.

Baked Haddock

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
500 degrees? Really? Next time I make this I'm checking my fish in half the time because the bottoms were burnt. Otherwise the fish tasted good. Sade face.

Simple Cajun Seasoning

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2010
I followed this recipe, but added 1 tablespoon of garlic powder as well. This was so salty, my sauce was almost inedible. Next time I'm cutting the salt in half because the spice was overall perfect.

Roasted Beets with Feta

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2011
I do not like beets, but I like beets prepared this way. I substituted green onions for shallots and followed the recipe as instructed. I did add my own twist and serve the beets over a bed of lettuce. A nice healthy meal.

Delicious. I seasoned my chicken breast then top with the artichoke mixture. Delicious with buttered pasta
