Christmas Maple Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
This tastes just like the maple fudge my Gramma used to make during Christmas. She always added chopped walnuts to hers. I prefer chopped pecans. Good stuff, and very easy. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Crunchy Romaine Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
This is really good! I've made this now 4 times. My whole family loves it, and I took it to a Memorial Day gathering. I use balsamic vinegar and mixed spring greens.

Pumpkin Roll I

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2010
Delicious cake! Moist cake, spiced just right. It tastes rather like pumpkin cheesecake. I made it exactly following the recipe, adding a little more flour because we live at 6100 feet elevation. I was nervous to try a rolled cake, never having done one before. But it really was quite simple and very good. I made it for dinner, to which we invited my dad, and he was impressed. My daughter arm-wrestled my husband for the last piece the day after our dinner (they split it!). Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Slow Cooker Creamed Corn

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
This was a hit at our Thanksgiving dinner. I followed other suggestions to pre-melt the cream cheese and butter in a separate pan first. I added the sugar, salt and pepper to the saucepan and a pinch of garlic powder, too. I then used my immersion blender to make it smooth and then poured it over the frozen corn in the crockpot.

Delicious Greens and Ham

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
This is so good! I made it as the recipe said to and I really enjoyed this. I made it once with ham and another time with a little bacon instead of ham. Great both ways! I must say, making it with turnip greens from my own garden is so much better than with store-bought greens. I will try with home-grown beet greens next time, for a new twist.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
This is good, but I use just half a package of the soup mix; otherwise, the onion flavor is too powerful for me. I like to add a splash of white wine, too. My family likes it pretty well.

Best Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2012
This was really good! Instead of using the stuffing mix, I made it gluten-free by using G-F cornbread I made a couple days before and sliced and dried in my oven, then crumbled. I didn't have celery salt, but used 1/2 tsp celery seed. And I used chicken leg/thigh combos because that's what I had. The result was so tender, and the tangy sourcream under the slightly sweet cornbread was super! I will definitely make this again...soon!

Asian Coconut Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2012
YUM! This was great! It didn't come out sticky or gluey. Whoever said it was too sweet probably didn't use unsweetened coconut milk. I didn't have any coconut and I don't care for cilantro, but garnished it instead with toasted sliced almonds.
