About this Cook
I am a Christian... newly married to the man of my dreams. I love cooking and am fairly confident in my ability, but am now exploring the world of baking too, which is an area I never feel as confident in. I love animals, and entertaining friends...
My favorite things to cook
any vegetable... I love to sautee and stir-fry... I love to create new flavors but tend to be inspried by Indian and Thai type spices...but my ultimate favorite thing? POPCORN!
My favorite family cooking traditions
For Christmas and Easter my dad would make cinnamon rolls for breakfast... and for Christmas he would make bagels and give them out as gifts... my mom cooked a lot of fresh foods, and she can still make the best stir fry's of anyone...
My cooking triumphs
Being recognized for making really good cookies by my brother and his friends, regularly... when my husband calls me "the best chef", delicious bread and rolls...
My cooking tragedies
nothing to tragic that I can think of... but I did burn a pan at my in-laws house (a very nice one) and uglied up a few omelets.

Shepherd's Pie
I used ground turkey and added a little garlic, and then I didn't realize we had no ketchup and used a some marinara and a little maple syrup and it ROCKED!!! Thanks for the recipe!

Baked Salmon with Coconut Crust
I REALLLLY wanted this recipe to be good, because I love any combination of sweet and suculent, I love coconut and I love salmon... that being said, it was not amazing... the combination really left much to be desired, it was like something was missing... it just did not mesh well together. Bummer.
