About this Cook
I am married with two active children. I work in a physical therapy office sometimes until 7:00pm so my meals need to either be prepared ahead of time or pretty quickly!
My favorite things to cook
I am the appetizer queen! I can make a meal out of appetizers alone. I can make candy...but I am not a baker. I don't have the patience for recipes that need to "sit" for few hours.....when I have the urge to cook...I wanna cook it and eat it!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I make chocolates and candy for my siblings and co-workers every holiday season. Now that my daughters are old enough...they help me with this process!
My cooking triumphs
I have finally mastered making a good gravy and chocolate covered cherries!
My cooking tragedies
I cannot work with yeast. Years ago....I was a nanny, and the mom had asked me to make this "easy" dinner roll for them for dinner. Well, I made it. The rolls were hard before I even baked them....but I baked them anyways, making them even harder. We just laughed it off, but I haven't attempted to work yeast again. But every New Years...it's one of my New Years resolutions. Maybe next year I will make a dinner roll for my family!!!

Bacon and Date Appetizer
This is a family favorite.....We actually stuff a piece of pineapple inside, wrap the date with bacon then roll it into a spicy dry mix......talk about incorporating every flavor.....sweet, salty, tangy and spicy all in one bite!! Only downside.....they don't look very pretty!!!!

Cheeseburger Pasta
I made this last night, and we all liked it! I did take the advise and added more tomato soup and pasta. I kept wanting to add normal "spaghetti sauce" ingredients, but I didn't because if I wanted spaghetti I would have made that! But we liked the creamy thick texture that it made.
