Slow Cooker Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
Good recipe! I didn't have cardamom pods nor tandoori masala (used 4 tsp of garam masala instead), and it was fine. Served with white rice. Will put this in the Indian food craving rotation :) Cooked it just under six hours on high, but there's not enough volume in this recipe to tolerate that many hours on high (mine was burnt around the edges -- wasn't home to adjust).

Grilled Salmon I

Scrumptious! Followed recipe other than using olive oil, and regular pepper because I didn't have lemon pepper. Everyone gobbled it up! Definitely added to the rotation :)

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2010
Love this soup! Followed all the ingredients and also followed some recommendations from previous reviewers: added more carrots and celery, used egg noodles instead of rice, and added more herbs for flavor. Also added in a can of peas! Ultimate comfort soup, definitely on my favorites list :)

Loved it! Greens were yummy, beets were yummy, followed recipe exactly and used the red wine vinegar for the beets :) Thanks!

Baked Ziti I

True comfort food -- easy to make, yummy to eat, not very seasoned. If you like more flavor, add more herbs and spices, maybe use some sausage. Recommended recipe!

Chicken Tikka Masala

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
Loved this! Followed the recipe pretty closely (sometimes I don't measure perfectly), used half the black pepper, half the jalapeno, and cut down the salt and then used kosher salt instead of table salt. Put a dollop of plain yogurt on each plate to cut the spice -- that was well-received. Made extra chicken and doubled the sauce recipe: two adults, a teenager and an 11-year-old polished off every morsel! Kids both requested that we have this again. Definitely a keeper!

Mulligatawny Soup I

Our family loves this recipe! I usually follow the recipe exactly the first time before fiddling with it... and it's delightful as is! My girls ask for it (17 and 11) and the older one requests more curry. I have mistakenly omitted the celery and it was fine. The apples add something special and if you've left them out, please try it with them! Thank you for this recipe, Lise!

Slow Cooker Adobo Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2002
This was *very* easy and quite tasty! I added 1 cup of water (per another reviewer's suggestion), and I'm glad I did. Also, I added sugar (to taste) to the sauce (after chicken was finished cooking). The sauce wasn't too runny but I was prepared to add cornstarch to thicken it a bit. This one's a keeper!
