Blue Ribbon Stuffed Crust Blueberry Lime Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
I wanted to make a pie on the fly and this seemed easy. I didn't have any limes so used lemon instead. It was delicious and went fast. Next time I will change the layering but overall was very good.

Black Pepper Pound Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2010
This is a great recipe and has become a favorite at my office. I kicked up the pepper using fresh course ground Tellicherry pepper, 2 tablespoons and topped it with a Lemon Cream Cheese Frosting. You'll be very popular if you make this for your group!

Swedish Sticky Chocolate Cake (Kladdkaka)

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2013
This is one of the best quick and easy cakes you can make!! Absolutely delicious and addictive. I double the Vanilla Extract and make a few variations adding a tablespoon or 2 of Bourbon or half a teaspoon of Espresso and a tablespoon or 2 of Espresso Vodka. You'll be famous in no time after you serve to to a few friends and family.

Ham Breakfast Braid

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
This was really easy and delicious. I knew it needed seasoning so I did my usual salt, pepper, onion salt and garlic salt and added a layer of swiss cheese on top of the sharp cheddar I used. It was awesome and everyone loved it. Will do this one again!

Banoffee Pavlova

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2010
This is a delicious and easy recipe and a great way to use those leftover egg whites. I love the mix of textures. I made a fresh orange whipped cream and topped it with strawberries, mangos, peaches and pineapple. WOW! This will be a huge hit with anyone who tries it!

Angel Lush

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2010
This is a favorite with my staff. Awesome 5 minutes start to finish with no mess. I have played with several of the sugar free instant Jello puddings. The Vanilla, Butterscotch, and Cheesecake all are great. I buy the sugar free angel food cakes at Wal Mart or have a sugar free recipe to keep the calories at minimum. Low calories and zero fat makes this a standout! No one believes it is sugar free.

This is an excellent quick recipe. I added a butter and capers topping and the flavor was awesome. I used a zesty italian dressing. Well worth doing.

Zippy Egg Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2010
This was very easy and had great results. I used Jimmy Dean Hot sausage and added an extra layer of cheese on top before baking. In my haste I accidentally grabbed the Heavy Whipping cream instead of half and half which I suppose only made it that much better. It was AMAZING! Delicious and everyone went for seconds until it was all gone. I say 2 thumbs up and will make this again. I will probably use croissants instead of the croutons as it will make the dish "plumper" and absorb better and maybe cut the milk in half to firm it up better.

Red Cabbage Salad II

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2010
This was an easy recipe and gave a great change of pace for our salad/vegetable offerings around here. I didn't have any regular seasoned salt but had the spicy hot blend. It gave it a nice **KICK** and loved it!

Microwave Pralines

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2009
First time to make pralines. I followed recipe exactly but mine were very runny, about like a loose pecan pie filling. Absolutely delicious, but had to be scraped up with a spoon and eaten. The only thing I can figure out is my microwave (which is not as hot as most) was the culprit. I gave 4 stars only because of the final consistency, otherwise they are a perfect 5 Star. If I could figure out how to make them firm up I would make them again and again. I like the taste better than any I have had.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2010
Disregard any negative reviews. This thing is AMAZING! I made it precisely by the directions and it was so moist and delicious! I did have to cook it a few minutes longer but as always I recommend watching and take it out before it gets too done! Any complaints about dry cakes and breads are 99% of the time because the cooked it to death.

Chocolate Pound Cake I

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
After reading one of the reviews I too doubled the cocoa and since I only had buttermilk I used it instead of regular milk. This turned out very moist. While I am a huge fan of pound cakes I think I prefer them more traditional where you taste the Vanilla and butter. It just seemed even heavier than most, but very good overall.

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
This was incredible! I don't use dry mixes so I used onion salt along with a tablespoon of Worcestershire, a dusting of Tony Chachere's original seasoning, a tablespoon of Chipotle Chile powder, and a splash or two of Tabasco Chipotle Pepper Sauce. I didn't have any red wine so I used red apple cider vinegar instead. Everyone raved about how good it was. It was bright and spicy but not too hot and fall apart juicy and tender. Will make this again and again.

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2012
Driving home last night was our first cold spell and I thought about how good a hot soup would be for the office today. I grabbed an oven roasted chicken and the ingredients for this. Everyone raved about how good it was and wanted the recipe. After reading the reviews I took away one of the cans of broth and added a can of condensed cream of chicken and added no water. I drained and rinsed the black beans, drained the corn and otherwise made it per the directions. I did add cumin, a little onion powder and garlic salt, along with fresh cracked pepper, salt along with chipotle pepper and some cayenne pepper. It kicked like a mule! I was even surprised at how good it turned out. Topped it off with some extra sharp cheddar, sour cream and popped a cluster of tostitos hint of lime chips around the bowls. This is some really good eatin!
