Baked Spaghetti

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2010
This is a recipe that I only make for leftover spaghetti, which sorta reinvents it. It's a little different, but only as good as the original sauce was.

Dorothy's Stefado

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
this recipe is delicious, soo savory. I was looking 4 a recipe for skirt steak, but used this instead and it came out wonderful. I used regular yellow onions because I didn't have the pearl ones, otherwise I followed the recipe as written. I highly recomend this one!

Southern Squash Casserole

everybody loved it. I agree it was too watery though. Maybe cut the soup and cream cheese down.Would give it 5 * if it weren't for that!

Precious Pineapple Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2010
This cake was really delicious but mine fell apart too! I don't know why, I followed the recipe to a T. That's why I'm giving it 4 instead of 5 stars.

Pea Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2010
My mother's recipe is just as simple but with slight changes is soo much better. She says use only Leseur peas, and instead of grating cheese cut into small cubes, slice green onions, add lemon and mayo, salt & pepper refrigerate 4 several hours.

Slow Cooker Veggie-Beef Soup with Okra

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
We all loved this soup, especially my boyfriend who said he did't like okra! I cut the tomatoes down to 1can so it wouldn't taste like italian stew, and added about 20oz of beef broth instead. I added a small amount of leftover it. sausage to it and deleted the ketchup. Will definately make this again. Delicious and easy!

Allana's Excellent Potato Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
This recipe is a good base. Mine came out watery, next time I'll add 2 T of flour to the sauted ham and onions and brown. I added parsley, dill, and some cheddar cheese. Before it was too bland.

Uncle Dank's Gumbo

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
This is the best!It looks like alot of work but it goes together easily. I used cooked and peeled shrimp, omitted the file powder and chicken, but used fresh frozen cod cut into chunks. It was delicious even before adding the seafood (just in case your tribe doesn't like fishies). Also, you need to saute the vegies in a couple of batches, it just does't fit all at once.

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
This was so easy! I bought devined shrimp the 24 to 30 per pound size means less to peel but sooo much better than buying pre-cooked shrimp. I also added 1/2 lemon zest and 1/4 cup of white wine to the butter mixture. As one reviewer had suggested I cut the baking time down to 10 min then, sprinkled panko breadcrumbs and parmesian cheese over the top and broiled for about 4 more min.

Awesome Baked Sea Scallops

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2010
this recipe was awsome! I did, of course, taylor it a intsy bit, I simply sprinkled italian breadcrumbs on top with dots of butter, instead of using the whole cup. I also added a good splash of dry white wine to the butter sauce after sauteing the garlic and shallots. The last 3 or 4 min broil the scallops for a beautiful golden crust . Everybody loved it including my teenagers!
