ok so I just finished my first attempt at this forsting. I must admit I am very impatient and do believe it was probably my faults that created such a disaster. I did cook the flour until it formed a think paste, not quite a "ball" but a nice paste formed. I allowed it to cool a bit, maybe not quite to room temp. I followed the other directions, I thought, to a T. I never was able to beat the flour and sugar until "fluffy" however, it seems after what felt like forever it was still thin. I am refrigerating now in hopes that it will thicken even more. The taste, however, it outstanding and if you ever need buttercream soup, I am your girl!
