Bry's Chocolate Lamb Chili

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2013
I made a couple of changes to fit the taste of my family better, and everyone loved it. First, I reduced the chili powder to 2 tablespoons. Next, I used a 28-ounce can of crushed tomatoes and one 15.5-ounce can of dark red kidney beans instead of the proportions in the recipe. I also drained and rinsed the beans before adding them. Finally, I used Hershey's Dark Reserve cocoa powder. I'm sure the recipe tastes good as written, but my family would never have liked it.

Lamb Barley Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
Outstanding! Tried it tonight with very lean ground lamb exactly as printed, and everybody loved it. Very rare that all the members of my family fall in love with a dish and ask to have it again while they go back for seconds!

Caroline and Brian's Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2012
These tasted pretty good for the first few minutes out of the oven, but once they started to cool, the cream cheese changed and the taste and texture started going downhill. If I make these again, I'll use mozzarella instead.

Kielbasa with Peppers and Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
We liked this recipe very much. We don't always put potatoes in, and we usually use the "stoplight" pack of peppers (red, yellow, orange). When I fix it in the slow cooker, I use half kielbasa and half sweet Italian sausage and add zaatar as a seasoning, which works very well.
