Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
This is a HIT!! When I took the chicken out to shred it, I also removed some of the sauce because it seems like a lot. Before I added the chicken back in, I disolved 1 TBSP cornstarch in water and then stirred into sauce left in crockpot to thicken. I put the chicken back in and added enough of the sauce I removed to make it juicy but not overly so.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2010
I like this recipe but I did tweak it a bit. I added freeze dried chili pepper that was pulverized in a coffee grinder for some kick. I also removed a little of the sauce to a bowl, added a tsp of corn starch and mixed it. Then I added it back to the pan. Served over steamed broccoli and rice.

Applesauce Bars

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2003
These were really good. Next time though, I will add raisins or diced apples for more texture. I didn't care for the sweet icing and might just "drizzle" it next time. Kids loved them as a after school treat......

Cakes In A Cone

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2003
I made these for treat day at my daughters kindergarten. The kids loved them!!! I recommend making them the same day as they are going to be eaten though because the cone tends to get a little mushy the next day. I also melted the chocolate chips in the microwave and them spread it on like a frosting, much easier then waiting around for chips to melt! Super easy to make too!

I love to use this recipe to doctor up my plain italian dressing too! I mix up the dressing and put it back in the bottle and it is good for regular salads as well as spaghetti! It gives a good kick!

Bok Bok Popovers

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2001
These were pretty good. I used fat free cream chees which I DO NOT recommend. Next time I will use reduced fat or regular for a better flavor. Also, I grilled the chicken with garlic seasoning for a little kick before adding it to the mixture.

I love this! The chicken was very juicy and melted in my mouth. Also, I cooked on high for 4 hours instead of 8 on low. Serve with rice!

Crayfish or Shrimp Pasta

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2001
It was Ok but I don't think I will make it again. I thought the sauce took a long time to reduce and was still a little soupy, I had to add corn starch to thicken it up a bit.

Honey Wheat Bread I

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2001
WOW!!! This bread is super! I love the flavor and it was very easy to make, even without a bread machine or a mixer. I did everthing the "old-fashioned" way and while it took bit longer, it was well worth it!! I also added a bit more bread flour because the dough was too sticky to knead. A+ in my book!!
