Southern Green Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2012
These were great. Had to cook a bit longer than 10 minutes though... more like 20 and had to add more chicken stock about twice as much to steam up.

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2014
Excellent salad. I make this a few times a year and I'm always asked to bring it to family gatherings. I never add the dressing until it is time to serve and I double the spinach because it coats very well.

Ranch Dressing II

Super fast and easy. I have made twice. Last time only used sour cream as I did not have mayo or buttermilk and whipped it up for veggie dip for the kids! They begged or more. Bravo!

Pepperoni Meatza

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2015
Excellent as written... Other than the amount of salt. I cut that in half. Kids loved it so much they BEG for me to make this. After 4 times I have changed to sugar free pizza sauce vs just tomato sauce and we have found we love the uncured pepperoni, sliced olives, and mushrooms, plus extra red pepper flakes on top.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2014
This is perfect as written. I am however one of those chili makers that often does not look at a recipe and just wings it and some times it's amazing and others not so much. I always go back to this recipe to right my wrongs. Definitely different and perfect mix of flavors. We do turn up the heat and top with sour cream, cheese, diced green onions and the kids use Fritos scoops to dig in.

Baked Pineapple

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2014
Yum. This sounded like an odd combo of ingredients but thanks once again to fellow AR's this was great! I served this with spiral ham and it was gobbled up. Made as written and I agree with prior reviews.... You need to double this if serving more than 4. Our greedy 4 ate it up and we're looking for more.

Baked Potato Soup I

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2014
Great as written but for those of you that want to cut calories and still enjoy this soup....just substitute the flour and potatoes with 1 head cauliflower( or frozen bag florets) steamed then blended until smooth, just add a bit of your milk to this process to make it easier to blend.

Cow Patty Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2014
I had the issue with these not setting as well the first time. Here is the trick.....do not add the peanut butter in the saucepan. Mix it with the oats instead. Also bring the cocoa, milk, butter, sugar mixture to a boil slowly and once boiling, boil for 2 minutes only. The 5-20 is way too long.

So easy and just like my Grandma made. These bring back great memories and help create new ones with my children. These are so simple that my 10 year old can make them herself with just a bit of supervision. I prefer this recipes to others.

Lentil Soup

Really excellent as written. I have made this many times. I do now however add spicy Italian sausage for my husband and also substitute kale for spinach once in awhile. I also rinse and soak the lentils so they cook quicker.
