So the last month has been insanely busy and last night was the first time I could concentrate a bit more on cooking at home. I had a hankering for pizza so I went to our local bakery (Lakeview Bakery) and bought a gluten-free pizza crust. It is made by Judy G, a local gluten-free company as…
I love baking. I am hoping that if I master this concept, I will be ready to handle the task of main meals. I find everyday meals the hardest to cook... it is all about timing.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts especially cookies, pies and cheesecakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Knefla, ribs and sauerkraut- a fav! Every year, my grandma and my mom will make this.
My cooking triumphs
BBQ'd apple pie. It was too hot to cook in the cottage so I decided to use the BBQ. I placed a veggie grill pan upside down, placed the apple pie on top and set the temperature to medium. I kept a close eye and it cooked within 45 minutes.
My cooking tragedies
My oven broke mid way through cooking a roast- it was a definite "throw-away, order sushi" kind of thing!.
