About this Cook
I'm from WI and have enjoyed cooking for years. Self taught due to being raised in an old-fashioned German/Polish household. My Mother did all the cooking and her husband and four sons enjoyed her cooking. Father's taste was very straight forward meat and potatoes...no Italian, Mexican, etc. Our Mother is gratefull and quite impressed with how her boys became good cooks even though we never learned from her or did any cooking while growing up.
My favorite things to cook
I love creative cookery as my Mother-In-Law puts it. I take recipes that I find and use them once before altering them to personal preference for myself or for my family and friends.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Grilling prime rib, turkeys, steaks, lobsters, shrimps, etc on my Weber and my Chr-Grill Duo.
My cooking triumphs
Grilled turkey on the Weber for Thanksgiving in Wisconsin wintery November.
My cooking tragedies
Slicing off a fifth of my thumb nail and thumb on a madolin while slicing an onion for my kicked up baked beans...never did find it in the beans, but we did through it all out. ;)

Cinnamon Rolls II
Tasted great. This was my very first attempt at a from scratch recipe...yeast...rolling pin, etc...I managed through it and they were well received by others.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew IV
This was okay; however, I would add some celery chunks with carrots and I would add alittle more beef flavor from let's say BV Upper.
