American Lasagna

This is a fantastic lasagne, I have made it many times and I don't ever want to make another recipe! I put more vegetables in the sauce to make it stretch it little further (extra bell pepper, grated carrot) and whatever herbs and spices I have around. Last time it was fresh Italian parsley which was great. I find the mozzarella on top a little plastic-y (maybe it's the brand I buy!) so I tend to use cheddar or a mix.

Fruit Cobbler

I have made this with blueberries, and mixed berries, both times with whole wheat flour and it is a great easy dish. I would recommend sprinkling a little brown sugar on top. I didn't do this the second time and it was a little tart tasting.

Spanish Potato Omelet

I guess this tastes like an authentic Spanish Omelet, it's just not that interesting. I added more vegetables (green bell pepper) but followed the recipe otherwise. It was better the next day, so I might make it again for a picnic some day.

This is a great light pasta salad. I would go a bit easier on the olive oil/vinegar next time. I only made a half batch and that was still a large amount.

Guacamole

Awesome guacamole! I added a LOT more cayenne - kept tasting and adding until it was good, but I would think I added about 1 1/2 tablespoons in the end. Will try jalopenos next time.

Quick and Easy Brownies

These brownies always get raved about at work, and every time we have a morning tea I am expected to bring them in! Like other reviews, I use 1 cup flour, I also add chocolate chips to make it more chocolate-y. Delicious!

Banana Loaf

This is an excellent Banana Bread, a very easy way to use up those extra bananas! I added lots more walnuts and some pecans because I like it crunchy and it was great. Freezes well also.

Kofta Kebabs

This is exactly the recipe I was looking for. The herbs are worth the effort, though I used fresh mint as I think that goes better with lamb. I also made about 14 big kebabs as 28 would have been tiny.

Zucchini Slice

This is an old recipe my family uses, so it was great to find it here. First, I would be careful with the zucchini - I had one enormous one that was plenty! I also added cracked pepper, a little cumin and nutmeg. Interesting combination, but it added a little something! Great for barbeques, lunches, etc
