Like most all of you, I love to cook! I grew up learning to cook at my Grandma's side. I am a Mother and Grandmother and love every minute of both of those professions. I am happier to have someone be thrilled over the food I have cooked for them, than anything else. I am the happiest in my kitchen cooking for those I love.
My favorite things to cook
I like to make mixes of convienence foods you would buy at the store. Necessity made me start doing this and then I just really loved the challenge of making homemade what others were buying and paying so much for. I suppose I would be considered a comfort food cook.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Definately Holiday cooking. I love the sweets, the main dishes, pretty much all of it! I also have just started experimenting with decorating with fondant. I want to be able to make all my grandchildrens birthday cakes through the years. I think it would make great memories.
My cooking triumphs
I finally have mastered biscuits and bread! Its amazing what a difference a stand mixer can make!
My cooking tragedies
Well, I have had many, as anyone who spends very much time in the kitchen has. I think the worst was the first time I made pulled pork with a rub. Can Anyone Say To Much Salt!
