Curried Chicken Tea Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
It was good but a little too sweet. I would do it again, but cut down on the cranberries and apples next time.

Curried Coconut Chicken

Reviewed: May 16, 2011
I think this was too sweet for my taste. If you like sweet tomato sauce then you should be ok with it. Next time I will add less tomato paste and only one spoon of sugar. Also the quality of the curry is very important, make sure you use some good curry, some are not as strong as others.

Caldo Verde (Portuguese Green Soup)

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2011
My mama used to make this soup and it reminds me of childhood in Brazil This is pretty close. I would give this recipe 5 stars, but had to modify it by reducing the water, adding some chicken stock and reducing the amount of kale. Add garlic, pepper and salt to taste. Not bland at all, pretty good!

Nice dresssing, however I would prefer using olive oil than vegetable oil.

Golden State Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
Cut the sour cream in HALF and then you have a 5 stars soup! The soup is already thick, there's no need for so much sour cream.

I thought it turned out a little too thick, it was more like hummus than soup.

Bf loved this soup. I thought it was ok, I am not a big sausage fan. I used plain sausage, not italian.

Mulligatawny Soup I

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2011
Awesome! I might have put more rice than needed, cuz it turned out thick so I added extra stock. Here are some tips: - No salt needed - Didn't think thyme was needed, but I added some anyway. - Ingredients must be finely chopped (it taste better this way) - I grated the carrots instead of chopping them. Awesome soup, would definitely make it again!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
I made this for my 2 girlfriends and they all liked it. One asked for the recipe. Next time I would cut the flour to 1/2 cup because it got too thick when it cooled down, and maybe add some grated carrots, or parsley, or chopped celery just for a little green.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2011
My girlfriend really liked this. I think it was okay, tasted like chicken chili to me. I followed the recipe and didn't change anything. But next time I would use diced tomatoes only instead of the whole ones. The whole ones are big and don't melt in the pot. This makes a huge amount, so use a large pot.

Bananas in Caramel Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2010
These were great. I used brown sugar instead of fine sugar, you don't really need fine sugar, plus the brown sugar gave a caramel color to it without needing to cook very long. Use low heat with the sugar. Make sure your bananas are ripe but not too ripe. Also the sauce is plenty, and you can add two or more bananas if you like. And I did let it boil a little bit longer. And the sauce is thick enough, and it can be used as a single dessert by itself! Super delicious!!!!

Three Cheese Chicken Penne Pasta Bake

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
This is a great pasta recipe. My kids loved it, and they are so picky. I used a bag of frozen spinach and 16 ounces of multigrain pasta (whole box), but it turned out great. The baking dish needs to be bigger, I used 13 by 9. The multigrain pasta is great, it stays consistent, and doesn't get mushy, and it's healthy too.

Oatmeal Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2010
I would give this 4 and a half, but since it's not possible... it is good, but I thought the cookies were a dry and not chewy right after they came out of the oven. I expected them to be more chewy.
