Amazing Muffin Cups

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
Easy and yummy. I used fresh potatoes and 1/2 the cheese as suggested by Baking Nana. Thanks for a tasty recipe. Next time I will use less sausage too - the sausage overpowered a bit for us. These are great reheated!

Bowties with Italian Sausage in a Cream Basil Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2013
We liked this, but I wish I had halved the sausage. The flavor is a bit overwhelming for our tastes. The fresh basil really makes this.

Cilantro-Lime Dressing

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2013
Thank you for a delicious recipe! I love it. It's sweet and tangy with a little kick from the jalapeno - yummmm. I see many more salads in my future! Thanks again!

Strawberry Cupcakes with Lemon Zest Cream Cheese Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2013
Thank you for the yummy recipe! I am used to baking cupcakes at a little higher temp. I like the results of a lower temp. The tops are flat instead of a rounded dome. These really melt in your mouth and the puree inside is a nice little surprise! Thanks again!

Cilantro and Pork Stir Fry

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2013
Thank you for a delicious recipe! We really enjoyed this. I added salt and pepper to the marinade and used the lime juice to deglaze the pan before adding the onions and peppers. Definitely use pork tenderloin as suggested in this recipe. It is so tender and delicious. A cheaper cut won't do this recipe justice. Cooking time for the pork will vary depending on how thin you slice it. Mine only took about 2-3 each side.

Pineapple Upside-Down Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2013
Love these! Thank you for sharing this healthy and delicious muffin recipe. What a great way to get some carrots into the kids too! They'll never know they are in there! I opted out of the walnuts and raisins, but made them as directed otherwise. Mine were done at 15 mins, so I recommend checking them at that time. I could not find a 10 ounce can of sliced pineapple, so I used (2) 8 oz cans which worked out for me because I was able to get 14 muffins out of this recipe. Thanks again!

Caramel Cream Sandwich Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2013
The cookie part is 5 stars for sure! Love the flavor and texture. The filling is a bit sweet for us, so I have to make some adjustments to that the next time I make these. Thanks for a yummy recipe.

Grandma's Chicken 'n Stuffing

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2013
This recipe was just okay for us. I made the recipe as stated best I could, but I would caution on using that much butter in the stuffing. I think you can get away with 1/2 that amount. 1/2 cup would be more than enough. A full cup was way too buttery! When I made the sauce I did not use 5 cups of milk either as I knew that would not fit into a 9x13 dish. I made 1/2 the recipe called for and still couldn't fit it all in the dish. I also added peas for veges. The flavor was just okay, but I do think it would be a hit with kids maybe. I think some fresh sage would help it be less bland. I'm sorry it wasn't for us.

Grands!® Cheesy Herb Monkey Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2013
This was quite tasty and it cooked up just right in 35 minutes. Very easy to make! I made this recipe exactly as stated, but I can think of many combos of cheese and herbs that would be just as good! I look forward to trying Pillsbury's sweet version for monkey bread!

Sun-Dried Tomato Basil Orzo

Reviewed: Feb. 5, 2013
Thanks for sharing this delicious flavor combo! I make my orzo a little differently and I halved the recipe as it is just the 2 of us. I melt 2 tbsps butter in a saucepan and then add a cup of orzo and saute until lightly toasted. Add 14.5 ozs of water and 2 teaspoons of chicken base and bring to a boil. Boil for about 15 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. I then added the tomatoes, basil and Parmesan cheese. Salted and peppered to taste and left out the olive oil as it had great flavor, and I didn't feel it was needed. Loved it!

Baked Spaghetti Squash with Beef and Veggies

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2013
10/11/14 - Made this again using Johnsonville Italian Sausage as well as fresh herbs and it was delicious! 5 stars! Thank you for sharing. Previous review: This is very good. Next time I will use fresh herbs. I think that is what was missing. Delicious leftover as well.

Strawberry Cheesecake Bites

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
These were just okay. I prefer strawberries dipped in chocolate much more. I thought this was too much effort for little payoff. They didn't taste anything like cheesecake to me.

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2012
LOVE these! Thank you for sharing. I added an egg to the cheesecake filling and reduced the sugar to 1/2. I mixed all that in a blender. For the topping I used 1/4 cup sugar with 2 teaspoons cinnamon and just sprinkled it over the dough after taking it out of the oven (I didn't use butter or honey in the topping). We sampled when cool and it was delish, but it was even better the next day! I definitely recommend making them up a day ahead. Thanks for an easy and versatile recipe!

Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2012
Perfect. Thanks for the delicious recipe. We double breaded them by redipping in the egg and then in the bread again. We also put them in the freezer for at least 30 mins before frying. We don't have a fryer, so we used an electric skillet to ensure the temperature was correct. This made it very easy. They are great!

Baked Mozzarella Sticks

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2012
These were okay. They didn't crisp up like fried sticks and the cheese started melting out. I won't make them again, as I think these really need to be fried for the breading to cook properly.
