Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
These were AMAZING!! My family is huge deviled egg fans and were very skeptical about a new recipe...but it was a HUGE hit!! They were absolutely delicious!

Bloomin' Onion Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
Very good and very close to the restaurant version! Make sure to make ahead and let sit in the fridge for awhile to let the flavors blend! Very very good!

Dad's Excellent Scallops

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
These were amazing! I mistakenly wrapped the scallops twice with proscuitto and that made it too salty. Next time I will only wrap them once around. I think putting them over noodles and alfredo would be amazing!!!

Blooming Onion and Dipping Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2011
I did not like the sauce at all. My boyfriend is a huge fan of the chain restaurant's version and it did not taste at all like that. The onion itself was very good but I will not make the sauce again.

Cola Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
I made this with a spicy venison roast and potatoes and it made the meal! My sauerkraut-obsessed boyfriend was very tentative about me "messing with the kraut" but he LOVED it!!! Very good the next day also!

Onion Roasted Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
I didn't care for these at all. I made the recipe exactly and no one at my Thanksgiving liked the onion/sweet mixture.

Baked Dijon Salmon

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
I thought this was delicious! I have never breaded salmon before and I really enjoyed the texture. I reduced the butter by half just to make it healthier and it was still good. I also followed the other reviews and basted/breaded both sides of the de-scaled fish! Will definitely make again!

Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
I love these cookies! Super easy to make and so healthy. I didn't have dates so I used raisins instead! I also added flax seed approx 2T just to increase its fiber. Next time though I will cut the oil down to 1/4 cup. With three ripe bananas I don't think you need that much oil.

Pumpkin Flax Quickbread

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
I made these into muffins and they did come out very dense. Next time I will also add more spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves) the listed amount just isn't enough for me. A very good, healthy alternative though! I didn't use any applesauce and used wheat flour (nonpastry)

Raspberry Banana Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2010
I thought these were very good! I made mine into muffins also and substituted wheat flour (3/4 c) and used Splenda for the sugar. I forgot to add cinnamon into the first pan of muffins but I did add 1tsp to the second batch and I like those a lot better! Just adds even more!

Brilliant Sauteed Broccoli

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2010
I loved this! I didn't shock the broccoli because I was just cooking for myself so I just sauteed the broccoli in the oil. I also threw in some mushrooms I had on hand. I didn't have any parmesan cheese but it was fantastic even without it! But cheese can only make it better. I just dusted the veggies with the brown sugar when they were done cooking- AMAZING!!!

Banana-Berry Brownie Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
This was excellent BUT we made it for a dinner party and ended up so full that we couldn't finish it and it didn't keep well into the next day. I would recommend only icing and adding fruit to the amount you intend on eating that same night!

Caribbean Sweet Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
This was good! I boiled and cut the potatoes ahead of time and then added everything together right before serving. Everyone really liked it. I only give it four because nobody at the dinner table said it was "fantastic" including me. But it was good and I love sweet potatoes!

Sweet 'n' Hot Glazed Salmon

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
I have made this several times before and always loved it but this is the first time I made it with the apricot preserves instead of the nectar/dried pieces. It was AMAZING and sooo easy! I did add water because of other reviews but it was not necessary! I did add a little extra cayenne to counteract the sweetness- DELICIOUS- even non-fish lovers loved it!

Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts II

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2010
These were very good!!! 1 package of bacon equals about 3 cans of water chestnuts if you cut the bacon into 1/3ds. I did cut the brown sugar by half and they were still delicious!! I also broiled them for about 5 min at the end just to crisp things up a bit!

Banana Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2010
My muffin tin was in storage so I made these just in a 8x8 baking pan and increased the baking time to 35 min. It turned out very well and have remained moist and tasty even 4 days later! I also forgot to put cinnamon in but it still tastes great! Thank you for the healthy alternative!

Tortellini Bacon Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: May 14, 2010
Very tasty!!! Loved the combination of flavors- I did double the green onion and it tasted great! Crisp up the bacon and I also didn't use the entire bottle of dressing- didn't need it!

Hot Mexican Spinach Dip

Reviewed: May 13, 2010
This was missing something... I used medium salsa which next time I will definitely use hot. But it had no texture- so next time I will either try beans or spicy chicken shredded in it!
