Savory Garlic Marinated Steaks

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2013
I marinated for 5 hours and used the George Foreman grill. Really tender, great flavor.

Jackie's Spinach and Apple Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 13, 2013
This was amazing. I added a little extra maple syrup by mistake (1/3 instead of 1/4 cup), and that may be why I didn't have any problems with the dressing like some other commenters had. It was such an amazing dressing! And it went very well with the salad. Altogether, easy and quick. Yummy :)

Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2012
Yuuuuuummy! Did it like it said, and boy is it good! Very buttery, and the sweetness wasn't overpowering at all. (Though I do like my food very sweet, so I guess I'm biased.) Easy to make, and highly recommended.

Braised Leeks and Mustard Greens

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2012
Quick and excellent side dish. I didn't have any mustard greens either, so I added actual mustard to the chicken broth. I think next time I would add more, like 2 Tbs. It was great! Enjoy!

Mushroom Rice

Absolutely fabulous. Just remember to adjust the amount of water depending on the type of rice you use. (I forgot to... :()

Kalamata Olive Tapenade

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2011
YUM! I left out the capers, but it's so yummy! It has a very strong flavor- I think I may have put in too much garlic. But I love it :)

Halibut with Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2011
A great recipe, but not the best fish I've ever had. I used salmon instead of halibut, and I left out the mayo. I baked the fish for ~half an hour covered, and then broiled it for 10 minutes uncovered. It was really really good, but it kind of masked the salmon taste instead of bringing it out. I might make it again.

Mediterranean Salmon

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2011
Aside from substituting parsley for cilantro, adding a sprinkling of garlic powder, and leaving out the salt, I followed the rest of the recipe. It is really really good. Definitely a keeper. But I would marinate it longer so it gets more of the balsamic flavor, and definitely add the salt next time. I took inspiration from the picture and sprinkled on shredded mozzerella. i like it, but I think parmesan or maybe cheddar would be better.

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2011
It is so good!! I followed everything to a tee, except I used chicken instead of pork chops. Cooking it in the skillet didn't work too well... I think chicken on the bone is too thick for that. But the sauce was wonderful and went really well with the chicken. Next time, I would bake it or broil it with the sauce on top, and even marinade it if I thought of it early enough.

Bananas in Caramel Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2011
This is pretty good. I liked the caramel sauce, but not the addition of the bananas. I guess in general, I don't like the taste of healthy things with unhealthy things. If you're going to do it... go all the way! The sauce is very good though. My mother makes this sauce under french toast- that's a good combo! It definitely took a while to make. I stirred and stirred and stirred. But it was worth it!

Roasted Potato Pizza Slices

Reviewed: May 30, 2010
These were pretty good. I used canned sliced potatoes, and I was afraid the extra water content would ruin the texture. Truth is, fresh potatoes would have been better, but these were good too! The best were the little tiny ones, which were crispy.
