This dish combines three of my faves: tofu, garlic and hot food in general, so I was sure I couldn't go too wrong with it and I was right! It is actually hotter than I thought it would be, but that just made it better. The poster pointed out that you'd need pickled chilis and shouldn't use fresh ones to get that unique taste and aroma and I can only second that!!! It sure made a difference. I am using a lot of fresh chili pods in my kitchen so I can tell. Also, it's advisable to add more water to the sauce, because it'll ecvaporate almost instantly when you add it to the hot pan/wok. This way you'll make sure there is some actual sauce left to stir! :) That being said, what you'll get is a truly delicious dish. The aroma is great and the heat is perfect. If you do not like hot food too much or your tolerance is kinda low, you may want to use less chili peppers. If you are NOT serving this with any other course, I'd suggest making some more. I ate it all on my own without any problems! :)
