We took a trip out to River Valley Ranch Mushroom Farm. You know Debbie likes her shrooms and I can see why. They are grown in buildings across the street from this store. This picture is of one of the sides of the store. Mushroom are  then taken into this tiny kitchen and made in some of the most tasty products. They make all kinds of pickled shrooms with everything from garlic, basil, hot peppers and more. They make wonderful sauces and spreads and dips. They have oyster, Portbello, cremini, of course white buttons and more. This gourmet shop is wonderful and everything they grow and make is organic. All items that they sell from other places must also be organic, we're talking a healthy food store for sure. And the people are so kind. Chef Mario joined us this time.

We had a lot of fun and had fun tasting many different things and even bought a few things. Oh yea.

 

Mario really liked the mushrooms. And he really liked the fresh veges.

Mario, hey, letta me out of here! I was just checking out the portobello tamales and homemade scones in here. Don't make me get the baguettes after you! It's getting cold in this freezer!

this place is so close to me! i love it! makes me feel good buying local. everything here is delish! fyi, if you are curious, it is in Slades Corners, WI. Burlington, WI address.

As a great mushroom affecionado this place sounds like bliss on a biscuit! I can just see those big Portobellos on the grill with a little olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and those buttons sauteed in garlic butter and a splash of white wine!

Vicky, you would absolutely flip for even more of their mushroom treasures. Dried mushrooms, mushroom soup, mushroom burgundy pasta sauce and more.
