Chef Luigi was so gracious to allow me to post on his blog this morning as I bid him farewell and leave him to his journeys. His time here was short but we enjoyed having chef around and sharing his story with those we know and love.

We didn't get around to all the things that we had planned with Chef. Sometimes life takes over and things need to be taken care of. My family and I have been experiencing that statement of fact for the past year and are holding on to the promise of better days ahead.

Perhaps someday Chef will find his way back to Red Wing and we can have our travels to the local vineyards, art studios, and restaurants that we had so hoped to accomplish this turn 'round.

Thank you, Chef, for visiting our fine city and being such a gracious guest. You are truly a delight!

Arrivederci miei amici!

Caroline, how did you know when he was coming to you? I am on the list, but do not know when he will head my way. Peggy

You will get an email that has a tracking number and I think estimated arrival date. I didn't but that's just because the person before me forgot to send it - no big deal - just didn't realize Chef was waiting for me, lol! Did you get the email about the order for visits? He's on his way to CookingBug now so you can judge from there. Shipping will take a few days and then they say a 7 day stay. I was a couple days over because of the mix-up and then I had to wait until Tuesday to get the the UPS store.

My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, I have to admit cooking with my brother Tony is my favorite tradition. We've been cooking together since we were kids. Sitting on counters watching and learning.
My cooking triumphs
When my brother Tony said I'm a better cook than he is! Ha :)
My cooking tragedies
