Hello, Bellas and dannos! Friday me-sah helped mis7up with part of a Catering project. She-ah had 3...boy oh boy was-ah she busy. A small bridal cake, that she was-ah gonna take a photo but me-sah laughed at her....Her camera battery died...Hahaha...! But she was up-ah all night for another 2 orders. Luckily for mis7up she did zee same thing for both....Me-sah helped her-ah make Cake Balls. Oh yum yum yumm-O! Mis7up uses zee recipe from

She like-ah to try different flavors and combinations. Me-sah ask her, "what'sa youse favorite flavor?" And she-sah said "carrot cake~cake balls". But say-ah she made cherry ones before with cherry cake mix and cherry prepared frosting, then put-ta chopped maraschino in them. She'sa said took prepared them before she left-ah Oklahoma and traveled to Mississippi to visit her sister Mendi and her-sa family for Christmas one year and they went-ah fast. She said they were drunken cherry cake balls because they were made 2 days or so before her-ah trip and zee cherries did a number to the mix and zee adults didn't share with zee kiddos... Poor Poor kiddos, but she-ah told me not to worry for them, she made lemon ones and rocky road balls for looked at her funny on zhat left zhat one aloooone.

Sooo Mis7up invited me into the kitchen to help her-ah make zee cake balls. Me-sah got soo excited. She had to tell me, zhat if me-sah stood on zee counter, me needs to cover up because her mixer, well, her mixer likes to ah splatter and fluff stuff up and outta zee mixer...boy oh boy was she right. Soo me-sah used a pot holder....hahahaha it looks-ah like me. Ahh too funny.

Sooo me-sah watch, zee mixer, while she turned on zee oven to zee box instructions. Mis7up sure did make a lot of batches. Her-ah made 30 cherry and 30 chocolate fudge for one client ordered, while the other ordered 125... mixed too. Sooo she-ah whipped them out. Even matched the chocolate coating for the pinks ones....But, me-sah saw her making green chocolate coating for the chocolate ones....guess zee all for a bunch ah girls. But she made over 210 cake balls total. And me-sah got to sample one or two....hmmm me LIKE!

Batches one and two-zie are in the over and then 3, 4 & 5. Will be soon.

Soo while zee cakes are baking...mis7up went and rolled some fondant out from the leftover green from her bridal cake and didn't want to let it go to waste. 200 hundred little single leaves all scored.

But ah mis7up, didn't use powdered sugar to roll out her fondant. Me-sah had never seen zee mat thingy before. Me-sah never saw, anyone whip out fondant and have it kneaded and rolled faster then anything ever before. Zee thing was called...wait for it..... "The Mat" by Sweetwise( 2 pieces of food grade clear plastic mats with a little bit of oil to season zee mats with. And never need for powdered sugar. None. Only 18 dollars plus zee shipping and me-sah never would have thought anything better. You-sah needs to get one of these!!

Soo, here's the first 3 batches of cake balls...Before they went into the cooler to harden some, nd before they getsa rolled up into uniformed balls, and coated with melting choco-lattes....hmmm chocolate.

She was-ah just going to let the cake balls be plain with some drizzle over them but her little Jennifer said, for her to make flowers pretty on top. Soo she decorated zhem with little colored candy pearls and topped each one with these little green leaves.

Boy she worked long on zhem for a long while. SO as me-sah was slightly bored, Chef Fatoili came up with zee idea to help her decorated her boxes.. Oh that was sooo much fun. Dreaming of little curly ribbons tyed on the boxes should do it. She had zhis bow contraption...but me-sah wasn't sure how to use it to make gave up. Fatoili says....Youse-ah goof ball, use scissors and strip the ribbons down the blade and they curl....well!!! why didn't I think of that. Then he gets out some hidden bottle of something, and put it in my not sure if mis7up knew, but she doze for a bit and woke up to us giggling.....oh we were such a mess, but we-sah got her boxes tied and curled...she was sooo soo happy. So was Miss-ah Donna Barrett and Miss Bridgette Sharp that pick-ah all zee cake balls. And sense we were up-ah all night. We snoozed part of Saturday before we did anything else.

Wow, a gorgeous days work!! What fun you are having. Too bad you are not here in Oregon, to help with my catering. (Hint hint, Missy) Beautiful pictures, too.

Wow, what a lot of work, I bet Mis7up was greatful for your help! I'm glad you didn't drink anything first or you might have gotten all tied up too hehehe ;)

Beautiful cake balls, Mis! I need to start playing around with them more myself so I can think about selling them around here. I could make a killing at Christmastime!

they do travel well. the best part is because the chocolate candy coating seals in the cake and keeps it moist. Ive never had one be dryout at all. I make so many. That sometimes I just think about them...and poof I have an order for them.
