Trains, Lions And Mountains: Chef Luigi In Riverside, Part I

Hello AR! This is Chef Luigi sending you my latest adventures. Lots has
happened since my last post and Chef Luigi want to update beloved
readers and fans. Thank you for your support!
I was given a brief tour of Riverside. Just in case I was not aware what town I was in, I had only look at the sign to remember.

LB take Chef Luigi to relax in place called Fairmount Park. First thing Chef Luigi notice is big train car.
Luigi like Union Pacific train
I ask LB if I can ride but LB say train not working. It's a vintage
train, he call it, not sure why I can't take ride but Chef Luigi no
mind. We go to see the views by the water.
Careful not to scare the birds
Chef Luigi did not want for birds to try and bite me so I was very
careful to have them stay away. I tell LB if we can get one bird to
take home. I can make a good roast duck dish, but LB say we cannot take
duck home. Must be a Riverside thing.
Next we go to mountain. I will post picture of mountain in minute, but first pictures.
1932 is long time ago
Sign say "Riverside Lions Club 1932" but Chef Luigi didn't see lions,
or even lion cubs. They must have had lions here long time ago, since
they made club for them.
LB's daughter Kennedy go with us. We explore cave. I scared at first
but I follow Kennedy to top. She brave girl. I not scared with her
there.

I really want to go in cave but said nevermind. Kennedy go and Chef Luigi worried about lions still.
Well, remember that mountain I talk about? It is called Mt. Rubidoux,
and it was a long walk. First of course we start at the bottom.
It say Low Clearance so I fit under just fine.
LB tell me Mt. Rubidoux is one of oldest landmarks in Riverside. It is
mountain but not look like big mountain. Feel like it though. Lotsa
walking.
There were strange plants around us. LB say plants call cactus. He tell
me that his mother likes to cook cactus, she call it "nopales" but LB
never really try them. "Nopales" sound very tasty dish, but LB did not
get any to take home to his mother.
I scare I might touch needles and hurt thumb so I keep distance.
Cactus or nopales? Chef Luigi confuse
Chef Luigi and LB walk far up mountain. Kennedy walk mountain too. They
not in awe of cactus, nopales, those green things... but Chef Luigi
cannot get enough. I get brave too.
Can you find Chef Luigi? I hide well
We climb up mountain slowly and there are great views all along path. You can see Riverside well.
Chef Luigi like Riverside so far, but mountain is tough climb
Well, Chef Luigi cannot wait to show you rest of climb up Mt. Rubidoux,
but rest of post very long so Chef Luigi save it for second half.
LB has been good and Kennedy take care of Chef Luigi. I am happy to go
to mountain with them. Please come back for second half so you see if
Chef Luigi make it to top and what is on top when (if?) we got there.
