The Best Chocolate Cake You Ever Ate

Thank you for sharing this recipe! I've searched for it as a Texas sheet cake but the others failed to add the cinnamon, which is a key ingredient. I use the Hershey's Special Dark cocoa for a more intense chocolate flavor. For those of you that don't keep buttermilk on hand, you can substitute an equal amount of sour cream. If your frosting seems thick and does not pour easily, just add extra milk (1 tsp at a time) until it is the consistency of pancake batter. The icing will set up as it cools. My mom used a fork to poke holes into the cake before pouring on the icing so it would seep into the cake...yum!

Easy Microwave Chocolate Cake

I had about 1/2 cup of leftover coconut pecan icing in the refrigerator that I wanted to use so when I came across this recipe, I thought the portion would be perfect. It could not have been better. I hand mixed all the ingredients in a 2 qt mixing bowl and put it in the microwave. After about 3 minutes, I took it out and let it set for another 3 minutes. Since I used the original mixing bowl, I had to use a spatula to loosen the cake around the edges and bottom but it came out fine. I iced it with my leftover icing and the taste, texture and flavor was just like a store-bought german chocolate cake. This is not a gourmet cake for company but it a great substitute when you want something sweet. The cake itself would not have been sweet enough for my tastes but with the icing it was perfect. Baked Rice and Vegetables in Broth

Nice, but the rice came out a bit dry. I'd recommend adding another 1/4 cup of broth.

Coconut Cream Pie

I made this for my coworker's birthday and EVERYONE raved over it. One of them asked me for the recipe a couple of weeks later when she told me she actually craves the pie (and she doesn't ever crave anything!) Two changes that I made: I used half and half instead of milk (makes it richer-tasting) and I toasted the coconut before putting it in the pie mixture (gives the pie a stronger coconut flavor). I served the pie with fresh whipped cream with toasted coconut. Delicious! Thanks so much for the recipe!

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

The flavor was a bit too "orangey" for me (but it may have been the OJ I used). Since it is a "from scratch" recipe, next time I will go all the way and use fresh squeezed OJ and lemon juice. The dough was perfect. Thanks for the recipe.
