Chicken and Broccoli Braid

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2014
I leave the almonds out, but other than that, I follow the recipe exactly and LOVE it. Lots of taste and easy to make - don't let the braid scare you away - it's not a big deal :) I've made this quite a few times and it turns out great every time.

Amazing Italian Lemon Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2014
I love this recipe - very rich - something different to throw in your rotation. Most of the kids aren't a huge fan because it's got a very lemon-y taste, but I love it. The only things I do differently are use less butter (the amount called for is really not needed, but that might be because I'm cooking for a large group and have to double or triple the recipe) and I don't use the capers because I forgot to add them the first time I made this. Not sure what exactly they taste like or if we're missing out by not adding them, but I think it tastes great without, so I've never bothered adding them. :) Oh and I also boil the chicken instead of frying it. Just boil it and then shred it and add it to the mixture when it tells you to.

Cheesy Chicken Quesadillas

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2014
My whole family loves this recipe. I follow it exactly, except I boil the chicken and then shred it and stir it into the sauce. I just find that it's easier than frying it because I can be sure that it's cooked all the way through and you don't have to sit at the frying pan and stir the chicken the whole time. That's just my own personal opinion though. The recipe in general is super-easy, aside from stuffing the tortilla shells. I hate that part, but it's worth it when everyone loves the meal!

Carrot Rice

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2010
Eh, this wasn't the best. Very weird tasting. I'm not a fan of how crunchy the carrots are either. I would suggest cooking them in with the onions so they get softer. I think this could do without the peanuts too.

Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
Very good! Even my super-picky 10-year old brother said "you should make this chicken every week!" Not one of my favorite meals to recollect, due to me over-salting my mashed-potatoes :( but the chicken was a hit and was actually rather easy to make (I followed the recipe exactly). Thanks!

Brown Sugar Chops

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2010
I wasn't too crazy about this recipe, simply because it was a LOT sweeter than I expected. (I'm not sure why I didn't expect it, considering how much sugar they have you put in.) I even added extra soy sauce and it was still reaally sweet... almost like eating syrup on pork chops. Also, beware of the cooking time on this recipe. I cooked for 20 minutes at 300, but it didn't seem even close to done so I threw it back in for 15 minutes at 325 and it was completely done. I would recommend marinating the pork in the sauce, but I didn't have time so I pour the sauce over the pork and then let it sit while the oven preheated. That in itself was enough for the pork to take in the flavor. Bottom Line? Not my favorite recipe. Easy to make, yes, but too sweet of a sauce to put on pork.
