Easy Sausage Pinwheels

We make this but with a much more flavorful twist. We buy two cans of Crescent Rolls. After cooking your roll of sausage (hot for more flavor) We then add an 8 oz block of Cream cheese,cubed into the skillet along with chopped Jalapenos (to taste)with the cooked sausage. The warm sausage will help melt the cream cheese. When it is all melted we use use 4 crescent rolls that have not been separated and put the filling in the center lenghtwise...then pinch together to form "snakes" or rolls. Refrigerate these rolls...then cut into coins about later so that you have a crescent roll outer with the filling in the center. With Two cans of crescent rolls and the cream cheese added...it will make approximately 96 coins. Bake as directed on the crescent roll can.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

This a good sugar cookie with a nice texture..perfect for rolling and easy to work with. Not very sweet though. I will possibly try adding a bit more sugar as some posters have mentioned. It will defiitely need a glaze to add to the flavor. Sugar Cookie Glaze submitted by Cyndi is excellent on these cookies and dries to a nice shiny finish.

Mini Cheesecakes I

I've been making this exact recipe for years except that the version I use calls for putting a whole vanilla wafer in the bottom of a regular sized cupcake/muffin pan. I don't think I would bother with miniature muffin pans. The cupcake sized muffin pans are more of a true serving. It's an excellent recipe that I like to take for Holidays. Always asked for this recipe.

South Carolina Sweet Tea

I would give this five stars except that for my personal taste 2 cups of sugar is way too sweet..(and I really like sweet tea)...I use 1 1/2 cups of sugar and that is about right for my families taste. I also use 4 Family sized Tea bags because we have always used 4 per gallon. I put the sugar in the carafe and when the tea brews and comes out hot it melts the sugar. Just a quick stir and the sugar is melted so no gritty unmelted sugar taste. I then rinse the pot out so that I am not pouring sugar inside my coffee maker. Then I refill the pot and run it through again to make 1 gallon. Works great!!

Orange Cream Cake

I liked the flavor of this cake just the way it is written. It did taste somewhat like a variation of the Jello poke cake only with the orange/creamsicle flavor. I used the hot and cold water in the jello that was poured over the cake. I didn't think it made it too moist. That is the way a jello Poke cake is supposed to be made. It was good to me..not too moist..

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Very good frosting with a nice consistency...not too sweet. I put it on Hummingbird Cake I from this site and it was great together. You could do some simple borders or writing, etc..with this consistencey

Caramel Popcorn

Great Taste but just a little too sweet for me (or just don't eat too much at a time). I used 2 bags of Microwave Popcorn and it was coated very well. May want to do 3 bags to break up the sweetness a bit..I think it woudl still be very good. Also, this tastes more like a toffee than a caramel...although it is very rich and good. I will probably make this again for Halloween or for Christmas Gifts.

Mall Pretzels

I thought these were great Pretzels. I had a hard time getting the dough to roll out pencil thin..it kept shrinking back to a thicker roll but they were great anyway. (Note-I have now made these four times and the last time I had no problem rolling them out to about 2 feet which seems to be a good length). This is a fun recipe to make with Kids. My 5 year old daughter enjoyed helping mix, knead, roll and shape the pretzels. She thought it was great fun. I would recommend it as a kid project. We used the Butter and Kosher Salt but will try the cinnamon sugar mixture with some of our leftovers. For those who gave it very low ratings-they must be doing something wrong. I have made them four times now with great results each time. I have followed the recipe to a T. I also suggest like others to leave any you are not eating plain and add toppings later (squeeze butter is great for this).

Awesome Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

This cake was awesome...I didn't listen to all the reviews that suggest that the cake will taste "greasy" if you don't cut the oil back a bit. I made the cake exactly as stated in the recipe and it was very moist and not at all "greasy". It was perfect. As far as the icing I wanted to have plenty for decorating and frosting the cake so I doubled the recipe. I also did not use the Neufantel cheese...just plain old Cream Cheese. Will definitely make this again.

Salsa II

Let me just say that This is an excellent recipe and it got rave reviews but I would suggest little changes to suit your personal tastes. It has a wonderful fresh flavor and mine was on the chunky side which everyone liked. The main modification that I made was the amount of Jalapenos. I listened to some other reviewers and used only 1/2 of a pound of jalapenos and the seeds from only 3 of them (it was about 12 jalapenos for the 1/2 pound). It was very spicy at that. 1/2 pound was just about right....spicy and just hot enough to be flavorful but not so hot that it is unbearable. It does leave a little burn on your tongue but I thought it was exactly right I don't think that anyone that I know could actually eat this concotion if you used the full pound of jalapenos and used the seeds as well. I would definitely suggest to start on the low side and add jalapenos as needed to your taste. Also, I followed this recipe exactly and measured out the tomatos, etc....It only made 3/4 of a gallon instead of 1 1/2 gallons that the recipe states. I didn't boil it very long either. My other substitution was lime juice for the lemon juice...I prefer the taste of lime. All in all, I loved this and have been asked to make someone a batch for Christmas. I will be keeping this recipe in a safe place. Love it!!!

Six Egg Pound Cake

Excellent Recipe...mine was very moist and firm...the outside was just a little bit crusty and it turned out a beautiful light golden brown. It did take the full 90 minutes in my oven but I checked on it from 60 minutes and on...I had taken notice of everyone who said that theirs overflowed....I put a cookie sheet on a shelf below and lined it with foil. There was some overflow but not a huge amount. When I inverted it was a very large pound cake. I did use 2 full teaspoons of Watkins double strength vanilla and the flavor was excellent. Loved this recipe...can't wait to try it with strawberries and whip cream.. Thanks

Super Fajita Marinade

I made this with Beef Skirt Steak and it was Awesome. The meat had a wonderful flavor that rivals any restaurant fajitas I have tasted. I forgot the recipe when I went to the store so I had to make a few changes. I did not add the coriander or anise and instead of the red pepper flakes I had crushed red pepper on hand. It still turned out wonderful. I can't wait to try them out on the extended family for the football watching games coming up. I also plan to try it with chicken as well. Many thanks for this great recipe and now everyone can know the secret to restaurant style fajitas at home.

Fruit Dip II

We have been making this recipe for years....I even found a variation on this site that prefer much better. To make it not quite so thick and to make it go a little farther for a larger crowd add one small container of Cool Whip to it. This is excellent with bananas, strawberries, apples. We use other fruits too like grapes, cantelope, etc...

Jalapeno Chicken II

We make this recipe but in a much different way...as an appetizer....and it is wonderful!! It gets gobbled up quickly for football games and cookouts. You will need considerably more jalapeno peppers..deseeded of course. Cut the chicken into much smaller strips. Fill the jalapeno with the cream cheese (you can almost cut it with a knife off the block) put the smaller chicken strip on top of the cream cheese and wrap a slice of bacon around your jalapeno, cream cheese, and chicken. Then cook on the grill for a great appetizer...Yummy

Creamy Banana Bread

Loved this recipe....I added 3 bananas (1 1/2 Cups because I had already mashed them up and had read that some thought it didn't have enough banana flavor). I also baked it in a pan that made 8 small loafs. Might add a little more Brown sugar and cinnamon mixture next time-was a little bit bland for my taste but loved the texture and it was very moist. Just need to adjust a little to your personal tastes. Thanks for a great recipe.

Fantastic Mexican Dip

I made this recipe exactly as it shows. I didn't think it had too much meat....It was a very hearty dip. I served it with Tostitos Scoops tortilla chips. It was wonderful...Definitely a keeper. Thanks for the recipe.

Easy Punch

This is a great recipe...very affordable too...important if you need to serve a lot of people. I froze the mixture a bit and served it slushy at a Halloween Party. The kids loved it and several adults wanted the recipe. Thanks for the recipe...definitely a keeper!!
