Monkey Bread I

I used refrigerated cinnamon rolls in a tube instead of the biscuits. I can't stand refrigerated biscuits. This is a good recipe but better with the cinnamon rolls. You can use the packet of icing that comes with the tube of cinnamon rolls if you wish.

Toasted Breadcrumbs

I put my bread slices under the broiler of my oven and the browning time is quick. I just watch it closely and turn the slices over when the top is the shade of brown that I want. You can put the slices in a plastic bag and use a rolling pin or crush with your hands, use the blender or food processor.

Hungry Man's Hash Browns

I grew with this recipe except that we did not boil the potatoes first. We peeled and sliced them. Then fried them in a small amount of oil alone with the onion and bacon that was cut in small pieces or chunks. Faster cooking that way.

Best Ever Corn Muffins

Switch out the measurements for the cornmeal and biscuit mix, leave out the vanilla, then you can call this corn muffins. Oh yes cut the sugar to 1 tbsp.

Spicy Potato Wedges

Dumplings

This is almost like my Momma's recipe except she added one egg and rolled out the dough thin but not real thin and cut the dough into 1/2 inch or smaller squares. She put them into boiling broth and covered with a lid for about 5 mins or so then cooked uncovered until the dumplings were done. They were so light and fluffy not to mention yummy!

This is great as is. Sometimes I use the cresent roll and "Lil Smokies" and use the beef ones and the ones with cheese. For variation, use weinies, cut in fourths, use the ones with cheese or the ones stuffed with chili. Make a big platter with all the flavors. Also try wrapping the smokies or weinies with micro cooked bacon.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

I am not going to rate this chili recipe. This is just a chili vegetable stew. True chili does not have bell peppers, celery, bacon bits, basil, worchestershire sauce, Italiam sausage or canned beans. In the south this would never pass as chili.

6 Can Chili

This is an ok recipe but it needs a little more seasoning. Try cooking some onions in with the meat and adding chili powder and cumin plus some smoky flavored paprika, garlic and oregeno for the true chili taste.

Cucumber Tomato Salad with Zucchini and Black Olives in Lemon Balsamic Vinaigrette

This is a great recipe. I even added thin sliced goose neck squash and juliene sliced bell peppers, thin slices of red onions also. I took this dish to a recent family reunion and there were no left overs. We had more than a 100 guests at the reunion. I would give this recipe 10 stars if possible.

Emergency Garlic Bread

I have done this for years. I do mix my seasonings in the butter and spread on any type of bread I have in the kitchen. My husband even liked this garlic bread on regular sliced sandwich bread from the store. I bake or broil the bread in the oven.

I used to make these when I was a teenager. I got the recipe from home ec class. We made these one day in class and they went over big time. I lost the recipe many, many years ago. Thanks for publishing this. Got my first boyfriend with a plate of these.
