Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2010
This is the best zucchini bread I have ever had in my life!!! I made the recipe exactly as written with the exception of the veg. oil which I used 1/2 cup veg. oil and 1/2 cup applesauce. I will definately pass this one on to friends. Excellent!!!!!!

Pumpkin Dessert

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2011
Was pretty good, but don't try to scimp on the sugar. I added another can (small can) of pumpkin and it was the perfect amount. The cake crust should have been thinner, but a nice change from regular pumpkin pie.

Sweet Potato Pie I

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
This is the most amazing pie I have ever tasted! I did change it a little bit though as other reviewers did. I used only 1/4cup of white suger and 1/2 cup of brown sugar. I also used 3/4 cup evaporated milk (as I had a little more than 1 pound of sweet potato) I also used a shortbread crust (buy at grocery store). I will definately make this again and again!!

Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 21, 2011
I found these cookies to hard, I like them soft and chewy. Could use a little more peanut butter to give a little more flavor.

Rhubarb Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2011
Amazing!!! Probably the best dessert I've ever eaten. I did add an extra 3 cups of rhubarb as reviewers suggested, and increased sugar to 1 1/2 c (due to increase of rhubarb). I will definately make this again and again. Make sure to use the sour cream topping-- unbelievably tasty!!

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2011
Excellent pie! Was my first pie I ever made and will definately make it again. I only added 4tbsp of cornstarch instead of 5 suggested by reviewers, but next time will stick with their suggestion of 5.

No Bake Cookies VI

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
Very Good! I added 1 cup of shredded coconut and half cup slivered almonds- excellent! I didn't have chocolate drink mix, so I used cocoa and cut sugar down to 1 1/2 cup- perfect!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2011
I found these cookies too cake-like. I read other reviewers suggestions of increasing flour to 1 1/2 cup flour and decreasing the salt. I didn't increase the baking soda, so maybe that would have made a difference too. Not my favorite-probably will not make again.

Savory Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2011
Awesome!!! I just used plain white vinegar instead of the wine vinegar. I also added 1/2 tsp horseradish with 1/2tsp of the horseradish juice (in a double batch)--- sooo good!

Campbell's® Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2013
This recipe was good, but did lack flavour. I used chicken broth as another reviewer also did, and a little bit of Italian spice on chicken. Other than that, I followed the recipe as written. I also had to cook it for over an hour to get rice cooked, but an hour was too long for the chicken (dried out). It was good as I stated earlier, but could have been alot better with a little more spice/flavouring.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 10, 2013
I took another reviewer's advice and 1 cup of oatmeal ground into flour consistency, and they were really good. They were a little more cake like than flat and chewy, but good. I do like the idea of substituting oatmeal for flour!

Sweet Potato Casserole II

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2013
I made this recipe for our family Christmas dinner and everyone loved it. The white sugar may be reduced by half without changing the texture or taste. The eggs lighten the heavier texture of the sweet potatoes. It will become a tradition with us. PatJ

Best Bread Machine Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2014
Amazing bread recipe!! I did what another reviewer said and only added 2tsp of yeast- excellent!! I also play with the flour I use, I mix it up half whole wheat, half white, or half multigrain with half amount of white. Doesn't matter what flour I use, it turns out great every time. We cut loaf in half as it rises so well!
