Chicken Andouille Gumbo

Reviewed: Oct. 29, 2001
This recipe is very good although I prefer my gumbo soupy but this recipe does rock. I did not use chicken, file powder or okra because I do not like okra I used Krab meat, old bay seasoning, Jalepeno peppers and added a bit of rice. But this is a great recipe for all and easy to make.

Greek Salad I

Reviewed: May 13, 2003
The recipe for the salas was excellent. However the dressing did not have enough flavor for me it tastes too much just like olive oil. I added what the dressing recipe called for but also added some fresh garlic about 1 tbsp, 1 tsp red wine vinegar and some garlic salt to taste. But really good recipe

Basic Crepes

Loved the recipe. Very easy to make did not call for alot of ingredients especially expensive and hard to find ingredients like most French recipes do. Was even better when I filled them with Nutella & Jam.

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: May 13, 2003
Sadly it has taken me this long to actually write a review for this but I must say this recipe ROCKS!!! I made it for my mother's 50th bday party and everyone there complemented me for the soup and they loved it. It was very easy to make and soooooooo tasty. Better than the broccoli and cheese soups you get in restaurants.

Bacon and Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: May 28, 2003
his recipe was excellent. I used the small mushrooms because that is all we had...are those the portebellini's? I dunno. This recipe was also excellen for my mom and I because we are both doing the low carb diet. Instead of regular bacon I used the real bacon bits because let's face it, it was easier lol.

Puerto Rican Steamed Rice

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2005
Hey great recipe because i was looking for a great puffy rice recipe. I cooked some onion in the oil, i used olie oil and brown rice (to be more healthy). I was worried it would not come out well but it did. Next time i will add some chicken bouillon cubes to the water for more flavor.

Rice Pudding I

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2007
Well my version of the recipe turned out well but i will say i did not follow the full on measurement of ingredients. I used the same amount of rice but i used probably about two cups maybe a little more of milk, 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup of butter. Also, while in the oven a couple of times i stirred it to make sure all was mixed well and i took it out when it looked like the milk evaporate. I am making it for my students so hopefully they will like it but it tastes good to me :)

Fluffy Pancakes

Freaking awesome! Very simple and I love the addition of vinegar to the milk instead of buying butter milk. This was so tasty and I was out of syrup and I enjoyed.

Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Awesome! Trying to not eat meat once a week and these were a nice change. I like it better without the bun and some mustard! Great job and simple!

Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: May 15, 2012
I was told tasty but a bit dry. I took the suggestions by past reviews and added 1 cup of milk and 1/2 cup oil and I could feel the moistness when I held one. Brought them to a work event and everyone said they were so moist and delicious. Def add extra milk and oil but easy recipe. Love the recipe otherwise and who doesn't love chocolate?

Moist Peach Pound Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2012
Made this for a recent party and this recipe was wayyyyy too much which went in the favor of my co workers because I made 1 bundt pan and 1 loaf pan. I only got great compliments. I had to restrain myself for eating too much. Delicious and moist. I ran out of sour cream so I used plain greek yogurt and it worked just as well. Making this again tomorrow for Thanksgiving but 1/2 the recipe will be plenty. A must make!

Cranberry Orange Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2012
I have made these a few times and these are so amazing. Of course I am a fan of anything that has a citrus flavor to it. The cranberries add a nice touch. This is definitely a go to cookie recipe if you want a break from the traditional cookies. Will keep for the future.

New York-Style Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2013
My mom wanted a NY style cheesecake for her birthday so I decided to make her one. Glad I found this recipe. It was easy to make and mine did crack a bit on top but I think that I may have over baked it a little bit. Both my mom and aunt are from NY and they raved about this, other friends of my mom could not stop eating it. Will be my go to recipe from now on. Easy to make, not a lot of ingredients and light and tasty.
