Pioneer Cut Dumplings from the 1800's
Great dumpling recipe. Next time think I will leave the egg out and make the dumplings thinner. This recipe is as close to Mom's recipe as possible.Mom cooked without recipes. It took a long time to figure out pie crusts. Great home style dumplings.

Apricot and Peach Fried Pies
Great fried pies. Crust was like my pie crust except the milk. Had fresh apricots, cooked them in apricot juice and sugar. Thickened them with butter with rubbed in flour. Had to add cornstartch to get thick as I wanted. The juice was bought in a can.[apricot nectar] Best fried pies I have made.

Grandma's Lemon Meringue Pie
Loved the lemon meringue pie. I have tried for years to make the pie jel. Always had wonderful taste but didn't keep the inside set right. The way its cooked is why it cooked up good. Made a chocolate pie from a lady in the resturant business and the way it was cooked made it,also the mixing of flour and cornstartch. Great pie .Best for lemon. It deserves mone then 5 stars. Thanks for the trick of mixing.
