Rum Flavored Hard Candy
Me and my family
About this Cook
I come from a large family, and I cooked alot to help out my mom. I had to learn how to make large quantities of food. I now have my own smaller family, but sometimes I just revert back to making lots of food, and so we have left overs alot. But thats good (most of the time)
My favorite things to cook
I love to make cookies, I enjoy the process of making them, but I enjoy sharing them with others, and making people smile with fresh home made cookies. I also love to make my own spaghetti sauce, my hubbie loves it. I also have several recipes on this web site I use all the time, and my family and I love them!
My favorite family cooking traditions
German pancakes on Christmas morning
My cooking triumphs
I just love making things that people love to eat and rave about.
My cooking tragedies
When I was dating my husband-to-be, I made him a roast in a slow cooker (My first ever) and I added the veggies to late and they were still hard when we had dinner. He still gives me a hard time about it, but he did inform that I have now perfected slow cooker roast. Whew!

Baking Powder Biscuits II
My family and I really enjoyed these biscuits. They were very easy to make, and tasted great! The only thing I would say it to make a double batch, they go fast!

Baked Ziti IV
I have made recipe several times. It is really good, and creamy. Like others have said the sour cream seems weird, but don't skip it, it makes it so good! The thing about this recipe is that you can use lowfat sour cream and motzerella and cut down on a bit of the fat, you can even use turkey burger or drain and rinse you hamburger to cut down on fat that way too. A great meal!
