Red Velvet Cookies

Made these for a party and were an absolute hit. My only advice to others (given some of the less than stellar reviews) is NOT to overbake. Cookies are moist, chocolately and delicious.

World's Best Lasagna

This is the best lasgna recipe ever. The original is out of the McCall's Cooking School magazine from September 1972. It's become a traditional family favorite in our house every Christmas.

Mock Lemon Chiffon Cake

Just some tips - use half-n-half instead of milk and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before frosting. This will give the pudding mixture time to firm up.

Dad's Hamburger Gravy

Awesome recipe! I substitute 1/2 half & half & 1/2 milk for an extra rich gravy and use beef boullion. Great with buttermilk biscuits in the morning.

These are awesome cookies. Following other reviewers suggestions I increased the cinnamon to 4 tsp and added 1 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice and doubled the frosting. My hubby used the extra frosting in the morning on toast. Almost like a maple bar topping. Very good

Smothered Meatballs

Wonderful! I added waterchestnuts and garlic to the meatballs and decreased the cooking time to 15 minutes, then 20 minutes in the sauce. This cured the "dryness" problem. My happy little family loved them!

Anniversary Chicken II

Just a quick note, due to restrictions on using "name brands" the recipe as listed is a little misleading. I use a very popular soy based gourmet cooking sauce(that cannot be named) that is very close to teriyaki sauce (but more thicker) in this recipe. If you use regular soy sauce, this recipe will be too salty. Happy Cooking - Danielle

Rave Reviews Coconut Cake

WOW! I got rave reviews for this cake! It's moist, nutty and sweet. To add a new twist, I swirled the batter for this cake with a chocolate fudge cake batter to make two 10 inch layers of ALMOND JOY HEAVEN! Thanks for sharing

Secret Chocolate Fantasy Cake

The cake is wonderful, however the frosting overpowers the rich, smooth absolutely devine flavor of the cake. I preferred this cake with a simple dark chocolate glaze or plain whipped cream.
