I've been married for 2 years. My siblings refused to eat anything that I cooked when I was growing up. My husband was very nice in the beginning and would eat anything I made till I told him he didn't have to. But now he really likes ALMOST everything that I make. He especially likes to brag my baking up to everyone he meets.
My favorite things to cook
All desserts, casseroles, anything exotic (though they usually don't turn out), banana bread
My cooking triumphs
Got 3rd place in my city's Bake-Off for my cookie bars. Possibly the biggest triumph was when I finally got my scrambled eggs just like my mom makes them:)
My cooking tragedies
Too many to count. But here are the ones that no one will ever let me live down; In my first attempt at pancakes the batter didn't taste right so I added extra vanilla and flour. Ended up pouring into a cake pan and baking it. Tasted like cement. Next, my first Minestrone soup was in a crockpot and I didn't think about mushy noodles. I added the noodles with everything else and let it cook for about 4 hours. Put it into bowls and it was obviously AWFUL!!!! Tried to pour the soup out of the bowls and it all came out in one massive blob. We ate McDonald's that night:)
