Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2012
These are really good brownies if you like them super sweet and not as chocolately. Even though there's a lot of chocolate in them, the richness is overpowered by sweetness. 3 cups of sugar is expensive in this economy and is better served in two batches. I did bake them in a 9x13" dish, and was pleased with the thickness. Good, but too sweet and expensive

Berry Sour Cream Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2012
Very versatile recipe! Could be used with just about any fruit. The cake is very most and dense. Not a typical cake, so if that's what you are looking for you will be disappointed. I personally am not a traditional cake lover, but this one is a keeper in my recipe book! Thanks for sharing!

Chococonut Chip Cookies

Super good cookies! I would recommend these highly! Second time I made them I added oatmeal for half of the coconut, and it was divine! You must try these! It's true, even coconut haters like these!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2012
Love this crisp! It tastes much richer than other recipes. I doubled the topping, but think it isn't necessary. It seemed out of balance with the apples. Stick to the recipe and it's good. Add more cinnamon and it's great!

Vegetarian Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2011
This is really good, but lacks protein. The main flavor comes from the extras that are added to the soup as toppings.

These were okay, but even my niece (11yrs) and nephew (5yrs) didn't gobble them up. They were a blast to make with the kids though.

Buttery Yeast Spritz

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2011
The yeast definitely helps bring out the butter flavor. I think these are great, but mine are a bit too yeasty. Maybe I let the yeast/water mixture sit too long? Regardless, I'll make them again. Super easy dough to work with!

Great base for Strawberry Shortcake. You can add or decrease sugar in the cake depending on how sweet your berries are. Love it!

Chocolate Zucchini Cake II

I would prefer more chocolate flavor. It doesn't taste very good in the areas without the chocolate chips. Add more chips and it's pretty good!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2011
I've never had cobbler before so I didn't know if I would like it or not. The first batch I made, the crust was too dry and sank. Not so pretty, but tasty. The second batch I made I added a little more water to the batter and it turned out perfectly. Very delicious!

Absolutely love them! They do tend to get dry if you don't really watch them while cooking. But if you get it right, delicious!
